Marjory Stoneman Douglas student and #NeverAgain activist David Hogg told Axios founder Mike Allen at an event in Washington on Friday that his high school feels "like a prison" since the shooting last month, with "hundreds of police officers" patrolling the campus.
He said this is a problem because the police are racist against black students: "What I'm very concerned about is the racial disparity between white and black students. For example, black students get suspended at a rate three times higher than white students."

Actually, I believe as a counselor for many years, that a huge disservice has been perpetrated on this teenager by the media. They have suppressed his grief and have granted him a level of fame and importance as a replacement that simply can’t be maintained. Emotionally fragile because of a undealt with grief, the fame will be pulled away shortly when the media goes on to the next news cycle...as it always does.
Rode hard and put away wet will describe the media’s manipulation of this youngster. His less than mature proclamations are evidence that he isn’t strong enough to deal with what’s happening now, much less the crash that will soon hit him.
