I’m just an old fart and have gone through a lot of disappointments. But I told myself if this guy is for real, then we may still have a chance, so I voted for President Trump. Now to me he seems just like all the rest! 1.3T “budget” my rosy red butt!

His choice was to sign, or have a veto overidden. I would have let it sit until after the deadline, allowing it to become law that way. The Republicans are to blame, but we’re set up with the false choice of bad and worse too often.

No. He let them do what he knew they were going to do. There is a catch in it, though. I don’t know what it is but it will become apparent, just as with the DACA “giveaway.” This President is the sharpest businessman in the business. He knows what the situation is. He knows that this is the last chance to pull America out of the dissolution hole. If he can’t or doesn’t do it there is no more chance short of real shooting civil war. Everybody claims and speculates how such a war would eventuate and culminate but no one considers what China and Russia and Turkey would do if America were to be self absorbed with civil war. There is no good end to it short of Divine intervention and America does not have the protection of a Covenant that will save a remnant for future restoration and America has fallen away from God precipitously in the last 6 decades, What is there left to preserve? Christianity is now vibrant in Africa and China even as it dissipates and decays in the Americas.
You don’t know that a veto would have been overridden. Also, those RINOs who voted to override could then be targeted for replacement by conservatives in the GOP primaries. Win or lose, having the vote provides transparency to the system that is much needed and sorely lacking. As it is, no one in the GOP will have to take any responsibility for this mess.

A FReeper on another thread explained that this bill was needed to fund our military. We are on the brink of a shooting war! We will lose that war. We are not ready to fight a real war!
Perhaps it is all over and we can just “give up” on the uniparty etc. Well tell me how our end will play out. Will it end quickly with a currency collapse or when we lose a shooting war? Or will it end slowly as we continue in the current direction for years to come? Shall we help speed up the decline? Should we do something to try to slow it down or reverse it even temporarily? I have an answer, but nobody else seems to believe it and I am very doubtful that it can happen. The answer will not ever be in the executive branch, it will be the House of Representatives: the power of the purse. We have never yet tried to have a conservative majority in the House, only a RINO majority.
You can feel “betrayed” by President Trump, but you cannot show me that he has ever had or ever will have the power to reverse the liberal agenda of the House of Representatives. For now, as another poster said so succinctly, “He’s the only game in town.”
Please show some compassion for those people who are disappointed. They claim to have given up. They should be encouraged to continue the fight istead of being ridiculed. They may be right. The left has corrupted our society for so many years, they have our children. Perhaps it is too late.

Complain to Congress. The made this bill then shoved it down everyone’s throat. Trump could fight this or fight the deep state but he can’t do both. This is all republicans house / senate fault.
