(snip) NBC's 'Meet the Press' host Chuck Todd repeatedly asked Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin about the president's attitude, language, and word choice.
President Trump made fun of the NBC host's "sleepy eyes" at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, and speculated that NBC might be "worse than CNN". "He's a sleeping son of a bitch, I'll tell you," Trump said about Chuck Todd's droopy eyes.
"I understand you wanted to get back on an economic message, but ... last night he was praising authoritarian figures in China and North Korea and encouraging boos at the American press," Chuck Todd reported. "Does this mean this American president is now longer going to be preaching about the values of freedom of the press and democracy around the world?"
The Treasury Secretary replied that he is on the show to talk about policy and wants to focus on that.
"If that's what we should be focused on, why can't the president focus on that, sir? ... Would you call last night's speech a focused speech?" Todd asked.
"I wasn't at the campaign rally, ..." Mnuchin stated.
Todd doubled down: "So should we stop covering the campaign rally? If it doesn't matter what he says there. If we're to dismiss everything he says at the campaign rally as you're trying to imply, are you saying we shouldn't cover these things?"
"You're putting words in my mouth," Mnuchin said. "You should obviously carry them because these are important moments for the president and this is news. What I'm trying to say is, I'm focused on the policies... What I came to talk about were the president's policies."
Asked for a question on policy, Chuck Todd asked one final question: "When [President Trump] uses vulgarity to talk about individuals, what are they supposed to tell their kids?"

“...What Should I Tell My Kids...”
That’s an easy one:
“Welcome to the Real World, kids.”
“...what are they supposed to tell their kids?...”
Tell them to listen closely and turn off the lying media.
Chuck Todd, you frakin hateful idiot, what the frak did you tell your kids when Biden used profanity....on national TV? STFU already you moronic hypocritical idiot!

Tell them that that is his former liberal ideology coming out of him
Tell them to google Monica Lewinski
What kids? I thought he was gay.
“Son, Daddy’s a sleepy-eyed son of a bitch. The president’s right.”
Chucky is not comfy around a real man. How sad to be the child of such a prissy feckless pony.
Love to see these lying cretins squirm for a change.
(thank you Mr. President)
Well, Chuck, if your kids listen to rap or ‘popular’ music and/or watch regular TV (cable AND broadcast), they have likely already her ‘those words’ many time.
The s-word and SOB are quite common on regular TV. The f-word even makes it through on some of the cable networks, including, but not limited to, TNT and SyFy.
Chuck got a butthurt.
Asked for a question on policy, Chuck Todd asked one final question: “When [President Trump] uses vulgarity to talk about individuals, what are they supposed to tell their kids?”
I don’t know of many kids setting around watch the news so it should be no problem, but those reality shows they are watching is another thing.
Todd should apologize to any offspring he might have for being a sleepy son of a b!tch.
About a month ago, this same stunned Mom chastised me...her mom...for saying the exact same thing.
Why is "vulgarity" only a concern for liberals when conservatives express it?
How do I explain to my kids that “news shows” are almost always wrong?
Chuck Todd Grills Mnuchin: What Should I Tell My Kids When Trump Uses “Vulgarities”
Hey Sleepy Todd, do your kids watch TV or listen to the Music?? Trump is a lightweight compared to the Entire Filthy Entertainment Industry.
Vulgarities like “teabaggers” or racists Chuckie?
Tell the kids that he’s a grown man and is entitled to use adult language, but that they cannot since they’re still children.
