As you get older in age, your CCW pistol may not be the same as when you were young. Your hand strength may not be the same as it was.
Here are things to consider when choosing a handgun for concealed carry for seniors:

There are many fine handguns to choose from but we’re narrowing it down to some great brands that fits the senior level criteria. Here's our top 5 concealed carry pistols for seniors:

Glock 26

One of the most popular for concealed carry and fits the criteria for seniors, especially the ergonomic grip ideal for weaker hand grip, dual recoil spring to lessen the recoil and last very easy to use.

Sig Sauer P250

Consider the best smoothest double action trigger, there is no external safety, just squeeze the trigger and go similar to having a revolver. Recoil control is easy to manage.

Beretta Bobcat 21A

If your hand strength isn’t as it used to be, this pistol may seriously be the thing to have. Shoots a .22 long rifle and there is hardly any recoil. A tiny gun with very good grip surface. What other guns do you think can help a senior? See the rest of this top 5 concealed carry guns for seniors here.

I completely disagree with the Beretta Bobcat or Tomcat. The strength needed to pull the trigger is beyond many seniors, especially women. Instead, I recommend a Taurus TCP .380. Much easier to handle and maintain. I know several people who own them and given the concerns one may have concerns about Taurus, they are outstanding.

My carry is a Makarov which I paid $99.00 for in the year 2000.

Love the Mak, but I got ripped off. I paid $109.00, NIB.

Agree on the Bersa Thunder. 380. Great gun and is what I carry. Has an all steel version and a lighter weight carry version, which I have. Looks like the Walther PPK.

S&W 442

I gave a 442 to my father because he can't rack the slide on his Glock.

Now he and my mother, (both in poor health) use the 442 as a house gun.

Love my Taurus 709 “Slim” 9mm! Single stack, fits in my pocket, and, I’ve never had a problem with it. My two cents.

I would prefer a sawed off 12 gauge at my age and eyesight but those are illegal.

Yes sir, I have evolved into a Ruger fan.

MYself ... struggled trying to carry my glock 19 (9mm)... it's now my "car gun" ... and now normally pocket-carry a ruger lcp-2 (.380) ... unless, of course, i am venturing into the tribal regions

After reading all the comments there is no such thing as the “five best carry guns for seniors”. I am a senior and carry the fine single stack, slim, no safety, Sig P-239 in 9mm. Beautiful semi auto hand gun for sure. Not even listed.

.
I have two Glock 26s.

Solid gun, but be forewarned: it requires tough finger tips to clean! The spring tensions are waaay stiff.
