This morning I realized that the endgame the left is driving at with this argument that our National Anthem and our flag are symbols of repression is that they want these symbols removed from public view. They call our anthem "hate speech" and they're calling our flag a symbol of white supremacy.
This is what they were getting at when they attacked the Confederate flag and then the Confederate memorials.
Their true target in all of that was to attack our identity as Americans.
These people are in a state of civil war against the United States of America. They hate our Constitution and I guarantee you that they will be attacking it right after they get the anthem and the flag removed from stadiums and public buildings all over America.
They want to destroy our country from within.

Ditto. The left is in an “antifascist” groove that interprets ALL nationalism as fascism. It is because they are rooting for the opposite: Globalism. i.e. no borders and run by “The Empire”. They hate that we don’t want that.

Then we had the Occupy Wall Street idiots. And more recently - Antifa. But these groups are made up of primarily WHITE idiots.
And whites cannot and do not get away with rioting, looting and thuggery like the blacks do. So Antifa is squashed by the leftists as they prefer blacks to be their primary idiots, agitators and instigators of all things stupid and ignorant.
It's truly sad that sports in America has been co-opted by leftists. Even sadder that the leftists have used their racism and bigotry against the USA.

“They” have scheduled it to get beyond VERY UGLY for a long time. They are almost at their goal.
The endgame is to erase our history, culture, heritage and traditions. All of it.
Some of our holidays are already gone and/or replaced: Washington and Lincoln’s birthdays, for instance, Columbus Day too (except in Pennsylvania). Christmas and Easter have morphed into generic “holidays.”
Statues and monuments dedicated to our heritage under attack and are being systematically destroyed or taken down including those of our Founding Fathers.
This is far larger than just the National Anthem.
I’d like to send every one of them that disrespects our flag or anthem straight to Cuba, on a one-way ticket with no chance of return.
It is a means to an end, inspire tribalism so that it can be called racist when you oppose their demonstration.

The Flag of the USA will be banned like the Stars and Bars and the National Anthem will be banned (no loss for the almost unsingable song). In the future all games will start with the burning of the US Flag by the players and beating of the Trump dummy. US soldiers in uniform will be banned as divisive and hate filled fascist. Didn’t you know that Football players are more important than soldiers? Why are they paid so much? Soldiers have no real value—football players are worth millions. We let them break the laws without punishment. This says alot about what the USA values.

You are exactly right. I was saying this same thing to my wife the other day. They want teams to hide in the locker room, or take a knee, they want people to remain infuriated and keep up the pressure through the whole season.
At some point, the NFL will say “Look, the patriotic ceremonies are too divisive, so to make it fair to everyone, we are going to remove all of the flags and ceremonies completely from every game.”
Then everyone will be really mad but slowly over the next year or two, the fans will trickle back in and everything will normal again but without the flag, song or soldiers.
If anyone thinks I’m crazy, this happened already with the gay issues. In 2012 the democrats started putting gay rights on the same level as a civil right, where their cause was equated with Rosa Parks. There was outrage in the black community for a while but in the end, they all snapped back in line like good little democrat pets that they are. It is sad that people are so malleable and forgetful. This is why socialism acts like a ratchet. Every time it moves forward and clicks in place, there is no going back. The ratchet immediately starts moving forward again to the next position.
I hope I’m wrong but I think that is how this will turn out. The media is too powerful.
That’s right. In their dys/utopian future, the United States will be a relic of the past, as we will be ruled by the United Nations, and the American flag will be to them as the Confederate flag is to us, and the Republican Party will be to them as the KKK is to us. The amazing thing to me is how can it be that Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, etc., do not see this.
I think that "a ravenous feeding frenzy" is far too mild a phrase for what we are observing. Still--well put. Thanks.
