It's always everyone else requesting prayer. Tonight it is me. My 42 yo daughter is having surgery to repair a genetic defect in her sternum. It is buckling and putting pressure on her heart, lung, stomach, esophagus, etc, etc. It is called pectus excavatum. She is in Cleveland Clinic, 300 miles from her children, family & support system. Her DH is with her. They will be cutting her sternum and pulling it back into place and adding titanium plates to hold it there. The standard for doing surgery is a 3.25 measurement. Hers measures 7.2.
Praying. May I ask your daughter’s name?
She will be fine. She’s definitely going to a great hospital. She and you and her DH and the surgeon(s) and all her caregivers are being prayed for right now. She will live a long, pain-free life.
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; - James 5:15
Sorry she’ll miss the eclipse this time. Tell her she’ll just have to wait a few years until 2024, it’s just around the corner.
Prayers for your daughter’s successful surgery and full and speedy recovery.
We represented Cleveland Clinic in DC. They are tops.

Yes, they get relief. But There is a failure rate but by going to Cleveland Clinic she’s got the best surgeon. Her heart is turning and her aorta is out of alignment. We were told in her adolescent years that if we pushed for the surgery it would be child abuse because it would be a strictly cosmetic thing. This has a 6 month recovery time. She’s an RN and hoping to go back to a floor supervisor job before 6 months. She’s in good shape.
Yes, the standard for insurance paying for the surgery is a 3.25 measurement. Hers measures 7.2. It has taken her a long time to get someone to listen.
Cleveland Clinic
