I don't want to print, the point of conceal/carry is to hide the weapon from curious eyes.

Warm weather is a more challenging time for conceal/carry.

In summer I wear a t-shirt and a lightweight button down shirt with longer shirttails to cover my Blackhawk belt holster and Glock 19.

What say you?

I don’t see where its a big deal unless its stupidly obvious like in the picture. Most people dont pay attention to others and if a cop spots you you have a permit to carry. At most you will get a warning.

I've gravitated towards Hawaiian shirts.

Worn untucked, material patterns breaks up any printing, loose and easy to draw from, plus comfy and cool in the heat.

Weird fashion choice. Anybody who sees that side of her body will have no doubt what’s under that tee shirt. Baggy is our friend.

I try not to print with my BG 380 in its pocket holster either. I wear baggy jeans for that very purpose.

This is just plain stupid. Did she look at herself in the mirror before she left home? Obviously not.

Gal in the photo chose her cover garment poorly.

She will never clear her garment in time to make to be able to defend herself.

In my state we can either carry concealed or carry openly. Printing is no more a handicap than open carry.

Tactically however, it's risky to let the enemy know where your firearm is located. There have been cases where bad guys have stolen the open carrier's sidearm.

But as far as the picture, if she's shopping in the super Walmart in a white neighborhood at 9 in the morning, it's no big deal.

Now, if she's stopping in Tyrone's Liquors in the hood at midnight, that could be different.

I do not like to print. I carry a .38 revolver in my front pocket with a pocket holster. One may be able to see that I have something in my pocket, but it does not have a gun shape. I carry my wallet and keys in my other front pocket and never use my back pockets, so both my pockets fairly match.

If my shirt tail is tucked in, I only wear pleated pants so that I have roomier pockets, On the weekend, I may wear non-pleated pants, but in such cases, I wear my shirt-tail out to cover the front pockets.

I only wear pants that have roomy enough pockets so I can reach my gun easily; for that reason I seldom wear jeans.

I say an LCP in the pocket is pretty darn easy to conceal. And to draw, if needed.

IMO, if you conceal carry, it should be concealed if that is the law in your state. I feel there should be open carry throughout the nation, handguns, long rifles, and knives.

Last year, my wife and I were on a ferry, I was leaning over the rail, and the wind was making my shirt flap, revealing my weapon.

My wife came over and let me know. Living in a state like mine, seeing someone with a weapon would cause some to have to break out the fainting couches.

Like I said, I wish the law was different, but...you have to adhere to laws you have.

Give her a break - she looked in the mirror, saw how well her shirt matched her shoes and decided she was good to go. It’s rare enough that a woman will actually carry on-body so we ought to have a helpful attitude for tips on how to do it better. JMO - YMMV...

It’s a BIG issue. I have to carry a smaller caliber weapon with less ammo because I carry in front, and it crowds Johnson and the boys.

If a person wants to carry concealed, they need to pay almost as much attention to their clothing details as they do to their selection of their carry weapon and their training.

In one state, if you printed, you could lose your CC permit. In the state I live in now, you can conceal, conceal/print or open carry with no consequences.

Personally I think if you print, you might as well open carry, you’ve already potentially made yourself the first target, no reason to slow down your draw after that.

If I am carrying concealed, it is concealed and I’d be concerned if it was printing. If I open carry, I typically also conceal carry as well. Figure the open carry makes me a target and I want to have backup is someone gets that open carry gun from me. All personal practice and I know others do differently.

I don’t worry about it too much any more. Most States that have Shall Issue or Constitutional concealed carry also allow open carry. From a legal perspective, it’s a non-issue. From a tactical perspective, printing is less of an issue than giving yourself away by constantly fussing with your clothes or being unseasonably dressed. IMO. YMMV. IANAL. IANAE.

I’m trying to be constructive here, but the woman in this photo is just plain ridiculous. That is not concealed carry and she ought to be cited for it.

Occasionally having your concealed carry print is one thing, it’s quite another that this person chose to wear a see-through, body-clinging top. No excuse. She had to know she was printing to the point of open carry.

Know what else helps not print? Lose some weight or wear larger clothing. Concealed means concealed!

I used to carry a .45 auto cocked and locked in a Bucheimer holster. When the weather was cool, I would wear a light jacket and neither I nor my wife could see the bulge.

On the other hand, I once was visiting a known criminal with a long history of minor crime. While I was talking to him one day, he asked what I was carrying. Some people are better than others at spotting them.
