Navy PO1 Gregory Kyle Seerden is innocent until proven guilty - at least in the eyes of the law - but it looks pretty grim for the Missouri man if he can't prove some of the images he sickeningly and stupidly recorded on video aren't him. The NCIS allegedly found at least 78 pornographic pictures on his cell phone, which was confiscated in the wake of a rape accusation by an unidentified Virginia Beach, Va, woman.
Investigators quickly expanded that probe when they seized the SEAL's cell phone and found very disturbing images on it. For example: in one scene, a man is shown ready to pounce on a sleeping little girl; in another, (barf bag warning, folks) the 12 year Navy vet is said to have made a video record of a dog having sex with an infant!

The authorities might never have found out about the depraved images had it not been for the unidentified female accusing Seerden of raping her. The vast majority of SEALS are our nation's toughest warriors, but sadly, a few sickos sneak through the screening process.
If convicted of the rape and other sex-related crimes, the petty officer first class could spend the rest of his life behind bars. That may not be all that long, however, if some of the inmates at the Leavenworth DB are waiting for him in a "reception committee" in the prison's infamous shower room.

With this kind of behavior, to call him a SEAL suggests that the organization at least passively gives assent to it. I personally doubt very much that this is their attitude. Not only the SEAL component, but the whole Department should henceforth actively withhold their titles “Navy” and “SEAL” from connexion with the name of this depraved miscreant, IMHO.
there are at least two questions....
1. why would the guy want to do those things and
2. why would he FILM them, for goodness’ sakes!?????
I mean,
he should not want to do those things in the first place, they are harmful obviously to children... he needs to learn to confine his urges into lawful channels

There are people whose sexual preferences are deemed unacceptable by society, we all realise this.

This seems to be a recent sociological trend, for more and more criminals (not just sexual violators) to film themselves (or knowingly let themselves be filmed by the all-too-ubiquitous cameras we now have to endure in our daily lives)

we could just let anyone who wants to be sent to jail....
go to jail, on request. Sort of like where fire departments or hospitals accept abandoned children ... with no punishment of the parents.
At least some of the crimes would be short-circuited, not committed. In this case, innocent kids would have been left alone.
