First year student Samar El Faki provided some insight. She told The Charlatan, the university newspaper, that removing the scales was a good idea because it would accommodate students with eating disorders.
Scales are very triggering, she said. I think people are being insensitive because they simply dont understand. They think eating disorders are a choice when they are actually a serious illness.

Funny
If a student is capable of being “triggered”, that student is most certainly NOT a candidate for any real university degree.
PERIOD.
But, of course, few degrees offered by universities these days are real degrees.
they eat the scales ?
The “Charlatan”, is the university newspaper?
In what careers do they offer degrees?
Well, maybe they should just raze the entire university. It’s presence could trigger feelings of envy and inferiority, feelings of being excluded, in those who were unable to attend a university, for whatever reason.
Maybe they should remove the disruptive students instead.
This is the end, my friend.
Yeah well, I tossed out the computerized scale when the LED display read “one at a time, please”.
BS.
Shut up, Somehow All Fatti.
Wait, yeah, I been got. This is fake news. “The Charlaton”? A a student named El Faki?
Their Donald Duck School of Quackery is among the best in the world.
Let me make sure I get this right....
Students with “eating disorders” (probably fatties) who, on advice of their physicians should monitor their weight, want to remove the ability of all students to monitor their weights.
Zat habout gud hit?
Under this logic, we should never take any medications prescribed for any medical disorder, because we might worry about the effects of the disease... and heaven forbid wearing seatbelts in a car, because can you imagine how hard it would be to drive being constantly reminded by the seatbelt that we could be injured in a crash?
These are people who will be singularly unsuited for the real world when things get a little tough. You want to know something else that's "triggering"? Bill collectors. Good luck with your tantrums when they come calling.
Facts. People have to deal with what is demonstrably true and based on observations that can be duplicated. That’s how you deal with the real world and this nonsense that these “butterflies” are being fed and motivated with will eventually destroy them.
Imagine the horror if you pulled out a mirror and showed them what they look like.
What has the world become?
