Incredible. No, I’d rather not think about what I was doing at 14 years of age.

Thanks, 2DV.

Marine and Medal of Honor recipient Jacklyn H. Lucas is a true American Patriot.

When I was 14 I could have probably passed for 12.

My father joined the Army at 17 and was under fire at the Hadong ambush. He was in the 29th Infantry Regiment. I still have the letter he sent my grandmother afterward.

He turned 18 a week later (the day he wrote the letter).

He mentioned she should not worry even though his unit “
got shot up pretty bad”. He also mentions the village they were in, and it was only about 60 miles south of Pyongyang.

I won’t take this man’s courage or his determination away from him, but when I see a photo of him literally rubbing elbows with Hillary Clinton, I have to question his integrity and morals.

Lucas is the only CMOH recipient in history who left the military and returned to school as a ninth grader.

Thanks for posting this story. I had just been reading about Lucas, and about the time during a training neither of this chutes opened. He joined the Airborne unit to overcome his fear of heights.

Regardless of his political leanings, I would have liked to have met him.
