MANHATTAN A stark realization within certain segments of New York City's immigrant community is that life in the Trump administration will be rife with uncertainty.
"I cannot plan anything more than two weeks ahead," said "Larry." "Because at any moment I believe that the immigration officers."
Larry - that's not his real name, as he requested PIX11 to conceal his identity. He tells us he's terrified the way the Trump administration enforces its immigration policies will ultimately lead to his deportation back to his home in the Caribbean. All stemming from a more than 15-year-old white collar federal fraud conviction.
"I served three years for that," he said....

I guess it’s a good thing us legal citizens don’t have to obey the law like those poor souls.
Tune-up-your-tiny-violins PING
The MFM is laying it on so thick, we suffocate, unable to catch our breath. To quote Lili von Shtupp, “I’m so tired”.
Dear illegal, I’m sorry that you weren’t deported before. You should have been. Now, instead of whining, how about you go use some of that money you illegally earned and go buy a plane ticket and GO HOME.
If this asswipe is illegal, Jay Dow should be behind bars for harboring a criminal.
Taxpayers paid for his free 3 year room & board.
Time for pay back.
Deport thyself, “Larry”
So?
Maybe I have less sympathy because I’ve lived in other countries and never dreamed to try to hide from their laws and live there illegally. I knew they would not allow it and I’d receive swift strong punishment for my CRIME.
Maybe you should be planning to pack your bags stupid.
Well, Bye!
Ah, I didn’t start till my mid twenties :)
Get rid of them all.
If there REALLY is a need for legal unskilled labor, we can legally bring in a bunch in a short time.
But lazy white kids need to work. AND welfare recipients.
The people with mexican workers say blacks and white trash are lazy lousy workers. I dont know if I believe that.
Yeah, you get too emotional over this illegal thing :)
I know you feel bad, but they have to go.
We can look at pictures of Mexico when we miss them :)
Be terrified....be very terrified! Cuff him AG Sessions. He’s never to return.
The guy came here legally.
Then he commits a crime. He spends two years in a detention camp as the federal authorities try to deport him. He has lawyers and he is continuing appeals on his deportation.
This has been going on for 15 years.
During this time, he has continually worked as an activist to protect more illegal immigrants and to prevent those who commit crimes from being deported.
He married and had a child during this period.
And we are supposed to feel sorry for him?
We should have monkey houses for them like they do in SE Asia.
I don't know about his country, but in May-hee-co, that kind of activity itself would be a crime.
A man with a criminal past and a criminal present may face consequences? Oh my!
Boo.
Oh, yes, and Hoo.
I’m looking for my violin.
