A Democratic presidential elector from California has filed suit in support of an effort to block Donald Trumps path to the presidency, the second such lawsuit filed in recent days.
Vinz Koller, chairman of the Monterey County Democratic Party, has become the 10th presidential elector joining eight other Democrats and one Republican to lend support to the anti-Trump effort. His lawsuit, filed Friday, seeks to overturn a California statute that requires him and the states 54 other members of the Electoral College to support Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton when they vote on Dec. 19. A similar lawsuit was filed earlier this week in Colorado by two Democratic electors, Robert Nemanich and Polly Baca.

Ok, maybe I am missing something, but how is this supposed to help Hillary again?

another Democrat against Trump...darn I was really counting on that vote!
lol WTF?
A dem EVer isn’t gonna vote for Trump?
What are the odds? :)
Look at ME. I’m important...
I guess the suit is the constitution is unconstitutional.
They are tiring to take away a state’s right to control its electors.
As long as they are all Democrat electors it is of no consequence, they weren’t voting for Trump anyway.
A Rat Kali elector who objects to Trump? LoL.
These Clinton electors are looking to cast their votes for a third candidate (a Republican), while at the same time pushing enough Trump electors to do the same thing so that Trump doesn’t get 270 electoral votes. If he doesn’t get 270, then the election goes to the House under the terms of the 12th Amendment.
.
So I guess Trump won’t be getting any Dem crossover votes?
I’m deeply saddened.
It is intended to provide some sort of moral sanction for electors to break their promises. Stupid, but typical.
> They are tiring to take away a states right to control its electors.
+1000
This is the reason why. Once they establish as a matter of law, the ability of electors to ignore states wishes, that makes the electors subject to bribery and blackmail.

So using this rationale, why didn’t Republicans sue to stop Clinton, Obama, etc...They would have been laughed and mocked. This is absolutely ridiculous. But these commie, scumbag press louts keep huffing and puffing and trying to blow the house down.
If any of this succeeds, we no longer have a country. If only one side is allowed to win we need to make other arrangements, because we are a light tyranny version of the USSR.
Fat chance of that happening, as they also would have to peel off at least 37 Trump electors.
ha ha!
a HilLIARy elector who doesn’t even realize he’s a HilLIARy elector!?
ha ha
idiot
What for?
