The Media Lies: Despite Media Claims, Comey's Letter Does Indicate Something Is There
Personal ^ | 29 Oct 16 | Xzins

The following is the text of the letter from FBI Director Comey to Congress in which the criminal investigation against Hillary Clinton is again opened. Note the underlined sections. Comey first says they appear to be pertinent. Then he says they must undergo an investigative review.

Dear Messrs Chairmen: In previous congressional testimony, l referred to the fact that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had completed its investigation of former Secretary Clinton's personal email server. Due to recent developments, I am writing to supplement my previous testimony.

In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation. I am writing to inform you that the investigative team briefed me on this yesterday, and I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation.

Although the FBI cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant, and I cannot predict how long it will take us to complete this additional work, I believe it is important to update your Committees about our efforts in light of my previous testimony.

Sincerely yours, James B. Comey Director

The media spin at this point is that no one knows what is in the emails, AND that the FBI itself doesn't know.

That is belied by Comey's own words:

1. For him to say that they 'appear to be pertinent' says that they HAVE been looked at. At a minimum, there has been an initial reading of the emails, and perhaps a preliminary analysis. How else can one conclude they 'appear to be pertinent'?

2. His following words seem to confirm this understanding, because he goes on to say that the emails must be reviewed by investigators in terms of the investigation. This sounds like an in depth look specifically focused on the actual legal issues of the investigation. First there was a reading and a reflection. Then there is this review as seen through the eyes of the investigation.

So, beware the Clinton spin that is appearing in the media. The FBI knows that something is there.

What this all boils down to is as said by Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi in her interview this morning with Neil Cavuto. This is a criminal investigation. We have a presidential candidate a few days from an election, and that candidate is under criminal investigation by the FBI.

Bondi went on to say that if she applied for a job in government and checked the box on the application that asks if she's under criminal investigation then she would not be hired. If she applied for any job and revealed she is under FBI criminal investigation that she would not be hired.

This is directly connected to the continuing issues of corruption, deceit, and incompetence that have always been relevant with Hillary Clinton.

I believe Huma claimed she sent the emails to Weiner's laptop because she had trouble printing them at the Department.

My grandson is too young for kindergarten, but he can print emails...

But the world's smartest woman* and her baby-sitter can't?

Seriously?

Still my favorite line of the last couple of years of campaigning...

Why worry about this if the fix is in, you’re on the side fixing, and your candidate is winning?

"...I myself am a former union thug, I speak Weasel, fluently."

I am so impressed.
Not too many people I know of would confess to that.

Congratulations. Seriously.

"If you don’t trust your superiors, you might want a trail of their actions that you could use in the future for the purpose of trading."

It's a nice excuse, but do you really believe that is the reason she sent them to her husband's laptop? And why send yourself tens of thousands? Why not just send the ones that compromised your superiors? And if she wanted to claim she was trying to keep a trail of their actions, why not just come clean with the FBI, instead of claiming you did it because you had problems printing them to paper at the State Department?

Of course they’ve looked at the material. 100 agents, pulled, could look at 10,000 emails in about 2 hours.

Something was there when she got off the plane too...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98gCBZbWqqs

This video has a clip of Hillary’s first rally after getting off her plane yesterday.

At about 1:10 in the video, we have Hillary saying:
“Donald Trump says he can still win, and ya know, he’s right, anything can happen inna lection.”

She sounds inebriated. I’ve never heard her slur her words before. In the very next clip she enunciates very clearly.

The “team” thought them pertinent. Comey thought them pertinent. Whomever Comey consulted thought them pertinent. The lying msm, not so much.

In theory, trade unions protect a fundamental right recognized in the First Amendment, that of free association.

If unions actually did what they claim to do: provide collective bargaining and worker protection, I would probably still be a union thug.

But they don't.

Most rank and file union members have no idea how thoroughly radicalized the leadership of trade unions is at any level above (and often including) shop steward.

The "service" unions are far, far worse.

I love the smell of Democrat fear.

Huma isn't on the Hellary plane today. Either Hellary broke up with her or she's holed up somewhere with her lawyers or both.

“Pertinent to an investigation”

Incorrect. It’s “Pertinent to THE investigation”.

This means it IS pertinent to the now re-opened investigation on Hillary. And there is no way in hell Comey would have set the world on fire without having a grasp of what’s in these emails.

‘it must be something in possession of an actor or agency that they can’t conceal.’

The actor is Preet Bharara, US Attorney for the southern district of New York. He is investigating Weiner, and he has a very formidable reputation. He has prosecuted high ranking Democrats, and even threatened to go after Andrew Cuomo for corruption.

Huma obviously lied to the investigators that she turned over all devices that might be pertinent to the investigation. Even if these are all the “same old e-mails” she didn’t fully cooperate with the investigation, and she should be in grave legal jeopardy.

Exactly. Free Association. That is the justification for any union, along with free assembly.

I’m not convinced that Comey would do this if HUMA were in jeopardy.

It would have to be info that had Clinton in jeopardy.

That will be the only justification.

Bharara is one of several possibilities.

NSA is another.

There are more.
