Why do you think Trump won or not.
Where exactly did Trump land an effective blow and where did he miss some golden opportunities.
Yes, won last night, but let’s face it, overall Trump was a disappointment in the debates, aside from the second one. He should have destroyed her.
When Hillary mentioned her work to improve Arkansas schools, Trump should have pointed out that those schools went from 49th in the nation to 50th in the nation. Bad to worst. Ross Perot pointed this out in the 92 election.

So I guess you could say that they considered her to be a "Master Debater"?
In football terms Trump won 28-24 but gave her a late TD with the answer on supporting the results. He was 100% to say what her did but would have been more effective pointing out the millions of illegal voters and the O’Keefe videos stating fraud.
Ironically, the media is cementing a Trump win for this debate. By focusing on his answer regarding election fraud, they are putting that issue at the forefront of every post debate discussion. And the reality is, most Americans, regardless of party orientation, believe that there is a lot of election fraud in our country. Democrats have made a habit of contesting elections in the last two decades and very prominent democrats are on record saying our voting process is rigged. Bernie Sanders supporters are certain the democrat primary was rigged this year for Hillary. The net effect is, when Trump says he believes the elections are rigged, he is stating something that most Americans absolutely agree with. So by elevating that single point as the key moment of the debate, the media not only highlights something Trump said that most people agree with, they also highlight the fact that it is the media that is out of touch with the real problems facing this country. Conclusion...Trump wins with the unintentional help of our lying media.
WHy don’t you write a few thousand words on the topic and we’ll let you know where you went wrong?
This wasn’t about drawing the most blood for the enjoyment of those who are already voting for Trump. It was a chance to show undecideds that he is thoughtful, knowledgable on world affaird, not a bully or buffoon, and yet strong and tough.
We report you decide.
I think she’s right about the 90%, if you define “causes” as Hillary, Bill and Chelsea.
What walks up stairs,
Alone or in pairs,
And makes a screechity sound?
Its mean, a Holstein, that wants to be Queen!
Everyone knows its Hillary.
Its Hillary, its Hillary,
Shes sly, always willing to falsify.
Its Hillary, its Hillary,
Shes sly, always willing to falsify.
The best politician money can buy.
Totally agree. I was pulling my hair out at each missed opportunity.
He wasn’t as polished or prepared, I dont think he did as good as the second debate, but he still got in some great lines and won the day.
Have to say, I was pretty disappointed though, and before I get shot down, I’m just being honest, and speak as someone that has been massively pro Trump since day one (and obviously still am!).
The Cubs won the debate.
AKA “Post Mortem”. Hewlett Packard used to do it when it one of the best companies in the world - reviewing things like meetings or events to see what went right or wrong. Same thing football teams do reviewing their films after a game.
Some good points. Makes me wish you’d had access to Trump before the debate.
I don’t think either side got any knock outs, but I do feel Trump did well and HIllary certainly took more blows to the body and face. So on points, I’d say Trump won by decision, but certainly no knock outs.
However, Trump did something much bigger last night, he was calm, measured, and largely didn’t bite on Hillary’s attempts to goad him... Hillary on the other hand got caught in the jaw big time on a few big issues... So badly that even the moderator called her on her spin and lies.
Notice, she never denied that the Clinton FOundation was a pay for play slush fund... not once... also notice she never denied that the Democrats paid people to cause violence at Trump rallies..... Subtle, but fact... no denial of either accusation.
She even tried to use violence at Trump rallies as an argument against Trump because that was her memorized talking point and Trump just jabbed her solid in the eye after the comment.
Trump I think put to bed the “temperment” issue to anyone on the sidelines worried about it because of Hillary’s allegations.. She came across shrill many times, almost angry at times.. Trump seemed measured and calm throughout the debate. I think that in the grander scheme is what Trump needed to do... I don’t think Hillary helped herself at all last night.... Those already in the bag for her, won’t quit her because of anything... but those still holding out to decide can they support Trump? I think most can now comfortably commit to doing so.
I won all the debates as I did not listen. No stomach problems this year.
Trump won.
He won on issues, especially on foreign policy and the economy.
As far as style, he had obviously been practicing. He had fewer unnecessary words (still to many but far fewer than usual) and he has been practicing his breathing, which is important in public speaking. I noticed the difference.
Still, he missed many opportunities to all out Clinton on illogical nonsensical things she said. One can say “shoulda, coulda, woulda” but if your not the one up there on stage it doesn’t matter. How many times have we had a debate with someone and hours or even days later thought of the perfect answer or quip that we didn’t say?
Overall, I think this was Trump’s best debate. It helped that there was a good moderator and not a 2 on 1 ambush team running the debate.
One of my thoughts as well, is that he says the right things most of the time, but he doesn’t always say it in the right way, and so leaves himself open sometimes. Of course he not the polished, scripted robot she is.
We have never had someone with the guts to fight like this man, in the way so many of us have been dreaming of for so long. A real independent man, an independent thinker that sees things in pretty much the same way so many of us do.
Honest to God, if this man can’t win, there really can be no hope with the GOP. It will be a devastating indictment for America.
It’s just plain frustrating. There was nothing new in this debate other than a passing reference to the latest Wiki Leaks. I curse the ground Hillary walks on and am revolted by her same robotic, sanctimonious, bureaucratic-speak self. I can’t bear the thought of someone so crooked, vile, and corrupt being rewarded with the presidency.
But Trump, God bless him, is just not a debater.
He is a great attack dog and takes it to the Clintons and the media which all of us here love about him, but he doesn’t seem to prepare for these debates.
He didn’t bring up Benghazi once. He could have brought up the Deplorable issue again in light of the Podesta anti-Catholic comments. He could have mentioned that her own campaign wanted Bill Clinton to give up his $250,000 fee for a recent speech, and she would have none of it.
He could have mentioned the fire-bombing of his headquarters in North Carolina. He had so much material from the Wiki Leaks which the media was not putting forth.
He could have mentioned the Clintons taking a tax deduction on Bill’s used underwear to counter her attacks on Trump not paying taxes. He should have told her she should have donated Bill’s undies to the Smithsonian where they belong.
If he can’t be inspirational, he can at least throw some humor in to counter Hillary’s cadaver coldness.
The debate kind of depressed me.
There was nothing uplifting about what anyone said.
Trump just wanted to finish it, and he took off as quick as he could with his entourage. Which was ok. It just showed his heart wasn’t in this debate.
I just pray, for America’s sake, that Hillary’s voters don’t turn out and that Trump’s voters do so in historical numbers.
The “He” that will win is Christ. Not Trump. Not Hillary. Not any poster here. Christ. His victory is assured. His victory is certain. His victory is final.
Trump’s? We’ll know in a couple of weeks.
Tell us what you think
He’s just not interested in playing politics, though ironically he loves a good scrap. (if you notice that is when he is most animated).
The trouble is playing politics is the only way it would seem in this day and age, that one can become president.
