You see, this is a world and existence where Jews are eternally strangers
I believe there is something out there watching us. Unfortunately, its the government. (Woody Allen)
Staked out upon the brutal wheel of history, some Jewsthose canny, clever, and successful Jewsbut otherwise Biblically damnedcan be seen as hustling, rustling survivors, who have bet everything on the game board, on Black To Win, and then upon black numbers in rows and corners and everywhere. And they have won big; and repeatedly.
A system.
Like roulette, or something.
Or something
.
Yawn.
Jews became Dems like any other immigrant group.
Jews have a seat at the Dem table and none at the GOP’s. Everyone hates Jews, not just Dems. If Jews didn’t participate where they weren’t liked, they could not participate at all. They just happened to have landed with Dems, and ‘paleoconservative’ GOPers have kept them there.
The top part was bizarre, the part Podhoretz wrote seemed intelligent.
It is my perception that a lot of American Jews are more secular than religious. They seem to tolerate things like abortion, homosexual issues, gun control, etc.
Follow the money. Banks, Wall Street, and so on.
Cause Jews = Money, right?
It’s an oft-asked question to which there is no logical answer. It has something to do with 1: identifying with the “oppressed” or “shunned”, or downtrodden, a reasonably and understandably historically accurate position. Eg; the sense of “common cause”.
But the error, I believe, is an aspiration to righteousness which they believe is to be attained by empathizing with other downtrodden groups. That in and of itself is laudable, but in the process they overlook the notion that most of those downtrodden groups hate Jews even more than those who committed the Jew-shunning in the first place. IOW, they seek this path to righteousness to their own detriment, when the better path IMO would be to act as good examples: as the scientific, industrious, and clever culture-loving people they are capable of being. Not, by any means, that all of them/us are. Bell curve, like anything else.
All true: secularism is very popular among the American people as a whole.
It is not surprising that they see the Republican Party as the Christian Party. That's how the party sees itself. The local party here, in particular, is very sectarian.
Actually, most people don’t hate Jews. But many Jews feel like THEY are the oppressed ones.
Yep.
Although I would say that Jews understand that whatever positive situation they are in right now, being persecuted as a group is always a possibility in the relatively near future.
The scriptures say they are a stiff-necked people (stubborn)
..and being lost in the desert for 40 years.
Because they fear the power of Christians, ridiculous because Christians in the US are about as dangerous as grazing cows.
They have been brainwashed by friends and the media entertainment complex to believe that conservatives are mean, hateful, selfish, dangerous....
They are indoctrinated from birth to believe that altruism is the highest virtue and a duty commanded by God which they cannot disobey. Altruism is one of the foundational beliefs of libtardism and big government.
Why do Jews vote Democrat, from your point of view. Why?
Hatried of Christianity seems to be the number one factor in the liberal Jews I’ve talked to. That’s also why Tim Tebow was drummed out if the NFL, liberal Jewish sports writers hated him for his open displays of Christianity and attacked him relentlessly.
The author does NOT give a reasonable answer to his question. The Jews do NOT see the government as their savior, rather they know it is their oppressor. Then why do they vote for big government. The answer lies elsewhere.
Are you serious? The Jews hate Christians who would protect them and have no reason to attack them and then the Jews vote for a government that is obviously a support of islam that would kill them to the last one? What?
