Longtime National Public Radio star Garrison Keillor just finished four decades on state-subsidized radio on A Prairie Home Companion. For almost that long, he’s been an easy example of a pretentious liberal snob, precisely the kind who seriously loathes a Donald Trump.
If NPR ever wanted to wonder why they haven’t been granted a Trump interview, it’s because he knows NPR is an elite liberal sandbox for people who congratulate themselves on their marvelous taste and mental acuity.
So when Keillor penned an acidulous character assassination of Trump for the Chicago Tribune, the liberals were very pleased. At Vox.com, they raved:
“Most pundits who attack Trump denounce him as racist, dangerous, and authoritarian. But Keillor does something that is probably much more likely to get under the billionaire’s skin: He makes him look pathetic.”Keillor’s conceit is that Trump is going to lose, and lose badly. …

The best piece he wrote was the American flag scene, with the baseball caps. I laughed until I cried.

No such thing. By the very definition, if you're on NPR then you're not a star in any way whatsoever. Not even close.
In fact, most people have never heard of you and never will, if your show is on NPR. That's the opposite of being a 'star'.
I would guess that Keillor would move to Cuba to take advantage of that socialized medicine they have that all of the effete Liberals in this country rave about.
He is getting up there in years and will be needing lots of socialized healthcare.
I thought he was dead. Even the few libs I allow on my FB feed seem to think he is.

I have listened to Keillor a few times and he can be funny. He tried to apply his comedic stream of consciousness gimmick to Trump and it just did not work. It is fairly obvious that Trump has no hang ups about Jews, which seemed to be the main fiction Keillor chose to use as the foundational device for his psychoanalysis of Trump.

Old Garrison is as down home and folksy as an outhouse and stinks just as much.
Trump has launched Twitter wars for less. And against lesser known individuals.

He reminds my of Andy Roony from CBS 60 minutes. That goofy vacant stare combined with a self-satisfied grimace. Absurdly thin lips that would look gorgeous on a snake. The nose looks like it was flattened at a young age and never repaired. The wild unkempt hair reminds me of those crazy old men with white hair roaming city parks in tattered filthy clothes in New York and screaming at imaginary enemies, and the hair styling would make Everett Dirksen looked groomed. And the glasses — they look like something left over from the Civil War. We are spared any details about his eyebrows because the glasses are so oversized they cover them up, but I suspect that they would make Leonid Brezhnev’s forested eyebrows look trim.
