i was at the cashier at a local hardware store today. the cashier was female and late 50s to mid 60s. i was buying some tools and some junk food including twinkies.
to make a joke, i said i was dan white and i need the twinkies to provide my excuse.
after a few moments the cashier recognized "dan white" and presumably the connection to twinkies and laughed. she said dan white, he is really scary.
i would have left it at that but she went on to say "just like trump."
i took the bait. i said why. she said "trump is scary because he is too paranoid."
i said "hillary is even more scary. would you vote for her even after benghazi?" i chose benghazi because cashiers are typically unaware of security restrictions, violations, consequences, and penalties.
the cashier paused a moment. i was not sure she recognized the signicance of benghazi so i added "4 guys died in benghazi. 4 guys died because of hillary."
the cashier still did not have much to say in response though she was still pleasant. i got the feeling that "because trump was too paranoid" is as far as she has ever had to go to defend her point of view with her social peer group. mentally i decoded "paranoid" into "racist." so i guessed that she meant that trump was racist or too racist or something like that.
i said you know calais? where the refugees are camped on the french coast trying to get to england? she said yes. i said, those people want to get to england, but it is a mainstream media lie that they are refugees from syria. they are mostly from places like afghanistan and somalia. somalia guys are for neighbors-- not good right? she said yes, not good. do you want to have your neighborhood overrun by such people? no she did not, she said.
i waited a short moment for her to disown her previous comments but she did not say anything more.
i had already caused a delay in the line so i gave up at this point in time.
so, to the cashier, and apparently her peer group, apparently being responsible for killing US soldiers for no reason or for bad reasons is ok, but being like trump (no murders that we know of so far) in the sense that he is allegedly racist is not ok.
it is ok if we are overrun by somalis as a result of our naiive faith in the benevolence of human nature, but it is not ok if we talk about limiting immigration of such somali migrants.
there is some fundamental logic problem, or at least i would think. trump my be able to get around this. but imho he has to try harder.
i had been hoping for better results but did not get anything. anyone want to suggest a better line?
is hillary really responsible for the deaths of the 4 benghazi heros as i had presumed? is there a better example to pick on for an elevator speech?
Highbrow stuff !
” the constant chant of racism from the media is finally sticking to Trump. Im getting worried that too many people think hes some evil racist and Hillary is the lesser of two evils.”
the most depressing thing I have read all day.
My daughter age 22... wears an InfoWars: Hillary for Prison shirt regularly. We live in a very blue state, and the shirt elicits no reactions whatsoever. Her Make America Great Again hat stirs people up... but not a negative Hillary shirt. It’s pretty strange so far... I saw lot’s of Bernie stickers on cars and lawn signs during the primaries.. none for Hillary and that hasn’t changed. As repubs are a minority here, I have personally never seen one pro Trump sign on a car or hat, other than my daughter, and Trump won this state overwhelmingly.
I don’t argue pro Trump.... I do tell leftists that Bernie was screwed by an unfair system, and rewarding Hillary with a vote makes change impossible. In my book, a non-vote on the left is a vote for Trump.
Nope.
Too profound to have come from me.
“Logical thinking is WAY beyond some sheeple.”
In my opinion only a very tiny percentage of people are capable of even making a real attempt at logical thinking. The majority do not think, they only imagine that they think. Most are like those I used to hear say something like,”My momma told me that and I believe it.” I have no quarrel with believing what momma said but if the only reason for believing it is that momma said it something is lacking.
“....something is lacking....”
After the second time Obozo got elected, it appears MUCH is lacking, my friend...
Mega DAWG POUND woof dittos!
I have found that people are so ignorant of political events these days it would take years of education to begin to turn them around. Theyre completely academically lazy so they just cherry pick talking points from their friends so they think they can sound politically astute.
Trying to give little elevator speeches to people like this is a complete waste of breath. Its really a casting pearls before the swine type thing.
Agreed 100%.
But it can be fun to try.
I like to make my point by reminding them (depending on their age) of something they have already accepted whether they have realized it or not.
As an example, say, “We should tax the rich, feed the poor, til there are rich no more”
If they already know your position they will nod in agreement, “yes, yes, yes,,,err,,, wait,,, what”?, “Wait, what?, that can’t be right”.
.
BOBBBBBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Yo bro!!!! haha!!!
Another Manger Dawg shows up!!!!!
our hope is they are as lazy physically as they are intellectually and won’t bother to vote.
what i’ve seen from most “Trump is racist” peeps is they have never listened to him or read anything he promotes - and they probably never will.
Logical thinking is very difficult, and for most people requires training. Most people reason associatively. But even the most rigorous logic will not help one reach the correct conclusion if one’s premises are false.
Trump is racist
Say, yeah right. That’s how he stays in business. /extreme sarcasm
Thank you for trying. Please protect yourself from violence, though.

anyone that reads Brietbart, prisonplanet, infowars, twitter, snapchat can see a large part of the young generation is very pro-Trump, amazingly so. Twitter hashtag girlsfortrump trended number one this weekend worldwide. there is a movement there - it’s anti-university pc, anti-justice warrior, anti-BLM, anti-feminism. it’s amazing to see. i have hope.
and congrats on raising a smart daughter. both my young adult kids are voting for him too.
Great,keep going.
I agree.
I have a 24 YO very conservative Daughter in a very Blue state and University.
She has never been afraid to verbally provoke her “zombie” peers early on, just to get a sense of where she stands and who may be on her side.
There are a dozen or more examples of this but the one that stands out happened a few years ago. While in a class of 40 or so other students the Prof said LGBT whatever and a student yelled out “that’s LGBTQ”, another student yelled “That’s LGBTQA” and another “That’s LGBTQIA”, as the room fell silent my Daughter loudly said “They really need their own Alphabet song”.
There was spontaneous laughter by more than half the students that quickly fell silent.
She aced the class and became the Professors TA. Edited his retarded leftist/communist creed of a book he needed to publish in order to get tenure. As his TA, she was grading papers of these zombies and destroyed them at every turn.
I’ve been going all out when someone disparages Trump. I say, “Really? I love Trump! I wasn’t sure at first but then I got his book, ‘The Art of the Deal.’ It’s really good and it’s very obvious he wrote it himself. I completely revised my opinion. Get the book. Read it. You’ll see.”
They really have nothing much to say back to me but it plants a seed. That’s all I can do.
A relative, who travels for work, called today to say everyone he’s talked is voting for Trump. He says they’re afraid to say at first because they don’t want to be labeled racist or homophobe. I told him about the Trump girls Diamond and Silk and that the gays are coming around to him after the Orlando shooting. He’s never been political but this election is waking him up.
Love it.
One person at a time!!!! GO TRUMP many are waking, Trump has made this election exciting I like him better off prompter!!!
