All this talk of getting fit for hunting season in the fall. How about doing some deer recognition exercise. Go through these pictures quickly and see if you can spot the deer. Give yourself five seconds, any longer means the deer is gone.
Fun, but unless I can clearly identify my target and what is behind it, I’m not shooting.
Rascals are really good at using cover. One can learn a lot about cover and concealment from a deer. Handy for E&E.
0 for 3.
I don’t believe there’s a deer in that photo.
Snapshot Wisconsin is an effort to monitor wildlife year-round across a network of volunteer managed trail cameras. Help us to identify the animals captured on camera and better understand the distribution and trends of our wildlife populations.

My first thought as well.
Also, not having a sense of scale in some pictures makes the task a lot harder.
Keep looking ...
The deer is only gone if you have your rifle
with you. Otherwise, it will stare at you and
pretend it is invisible even after its` ear
flickers.
Funny how that never seemed to work as I was growing up trying to dodge the damn things with my car.
Well, wait a minute -Maybe they did do that as they stood in the middle of the road playing “like a deer in headlights”
Bingo...
Hidden pretty darned well. I can’t find the deer at all.
The bottom of those 3 was pretty easy.
Exactly. If you cannot "find the deer" you don't have a clear shot and must hold fire.
Deer hunting ain't a game of "Where's Waldo".
I think I saw a moose biting some cheese in that second photo.
Anybody else notice the booger (bigfoot) in # 2?
I think I see a Dear, not deer.
Cute. She kinda looks like Paige Van Zant, a UFC fighter.
