State records show suspected shooter Omar Mateen held the firearms license since at least 2011. It was set to expire in September 2017.

They didn’t do a very good background check or vetting on this dirtbag. Government. Yeah, I trust ‘em.

Might be a good idea look into the company that hired him.

The ATF agent in charge in central Florida just said at the most recent newsconference that Mateen bought the firearms used, a long gun and hand gun, at a licensed gun store within the past two weeks.

All indications are the feds had picked up on this guy twice, and dindoonuffin. Federal agencies may or may not be talking to each other after 9/11, but they don’t appear to be talking with state level law enforcement, in this case FDLE. And guess who has street level responsibility.

The FBI, to make us all feel better about their handling of this one, lets us know that there are hundreds with similar patterns of suspicious conduct that aren’t being picked up either.

If so, it appears the FBI did not connect the dots of when he was a "person of interest," and his firearms purchase on Federal Form 4473 documentation.
FBI: "Let's see. we've been watching this guy for years, and he just bought a pistol. Oh, never mind, no risk here..."

He worked for G4S. Don't know if there's a connection to GRS, mentioned in the book, Thirteen Hours, but G4S is ultimately a Brit company focused on international government security contracts. We haven't been told what position he held at G4S, only that 2 years ago, he was questioned by the FBI. I guess it wasn't enough to cost him his job, which we don't know about yet, but he had been there 9 years, meaning he'd started work there about 20yo. This is not the first child of naturalized citizens who has pursued a job in security or government and taken arms up against Americans. Pattern?
