Pushing pause on that mission to simplify, McDonald's has moved in the other direction and unleashed a whole family of different-size Big Macs. Yesterday, the original size was joined by smaller and larger extremes in two test markets, Dallas and central Ohio. Columbus Business First reports the trio will remain on store menus until June 6, at which point the chain will see how customers reacted.
At the more petite end is the new Mac Jr., a single-layer sandwich supposedly designed to be easier to eat, although the menu has six plain, smaller-size burgers already. The largest size has been dubbed the Grand Mac. It's admittedly still way punier than Japan's new Giga Big Mac, but unlike the downsized Mac Jr., it at least stays true to the spirit of the sandwich. More meat morphs it into a third-pounder (standard Big Macs are fifth-pound), and it comes on a larger bun with an extra piece of cheese.

You can say that again!
The ONLY way I could ever eat a fast food burger is if it is “charbroiled”. Otherwise the meat just tastes plain “nasty”. I can’t even like In and Out because is is not charbroiled.
That only leaves me Carls or Burger King
There is a “Little Mack Avenue” in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. I bet there is a McDonald’s on it.
The McSlime burger.
It might not be a bad product for a quick bit, similar to their cheese burgers. It wont work if they are looking to replace the larger big mac.
Yep. Stick to making several good products instead of many mediocre products. Also, the more inventory you have to carry for multiple products, the harder it is to meet profit margins.
Go back to the 70’s menu. Bring back hambugler. Problem solved.
Maybe they should rename them “Fundamentally Transformed Obama Macs”.
Better yet, go back to the old way of making fries. Them was the bestest.
Mickey D needs to use real cheese in their sausage burritos....Or they are TOAST!
Where’s The FENCE?
LOL!
Yes. But maybe smaller may mean less barfing
Lol. If the keep the taste and cut the calories I’m all for it. I’m growing wider now, not taller.
Lol for sure
>>Adios to McDs ........ Hello to In and Out!<<
That should be said no matter WHAT MacD’s does!
In N Out is so much better it is almost like they aren’t even selling the same basic product
If they go back to the original French Fries that were deep fried in beef fat I might consider an order of all you can eat fries.
The way they make them today I rarely finish a small order of fries. Their fries are not at all tasty and neither is the rest of their food. I on a rare occasion get breakfast at McDs. Any other time I eat there it is because I am on the road and there is no other place in sight.
I worked at a McDs back in the late 70s and I can tell you the chain has not been well served by the management bowing to the Leftist demands for healthier food options or trying to beat the competition on price.
People will pay an extra 25 cents for a burger that taste good. No one goes to a fast food joint for a healthy meal.
First rule of success is dont mess with success. Before you change your successful product you better know WHY it was successful to begin with. If it workers why change it.
“If they go back to the original French Fries that were deep fried in beef fat I might consider an order of all you can eat fries. “

I haven’t had one in many years because of that stupid decision.
Prior to that they were the best fries EVER !!!!!!!!
