A Watergate-type 'Deep Throat' has come forward to claim that despite all the talk of a contested Republican Convention, the GOP nominee will be former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, a deal, said the shadowy source who has direct knowledge of the situation, was sealed months ago by the Republican National Committee (RNC).
"All this hoopla about Trump splitting the Party if he doesn't get the nomination even if he gets only a majority of the needed delegates is hogwash," insisted the well-placed source who claims direct knowledge of talks held between Romney and GOP executives.

"Romney is in this race up to his pearly whites," says David Leone, a Dallas-based political analyst. "His plan was to sit out the drudgery and tumult of the primary season and wait until the early delegate dust settled. Then hed come out swinging, first as a GOP lackey who was worried about the direction of the Party, and finally as the man in the White Hat to save the Party from itself at the Convention."
Deep Throat 2016 confirmed Leones scenario.
"The fix is in. Even if the Trump acolytes don't like the script and threaten to walk, the RNC knows the 'new' Republicans brought in by Trump aren't really Republicans in ideology," said DT '16. "Mitt is all that matters at this point."

It makes sense. After all, he is the current nominee of the party. If the party doesn’t vote for a new nominee, don’t they just default back to the existing nominee?
And an awful defamation of a nice multi-useful male body part to compare it to a Moral Monster like Mitt Romney.
Refused to vote for M3R in 2012 and never will vote for him.
We shall see how the communist gets his policies through the Congress. That will be interesting to watch.
Though I suppose that may actually be a compliment in a lot of cases....
I think we should all write in Trump if this happens.
Mystery Date VP!!
LOL......the terrible threesome.
The insufferable, revolting Jack Germond said one true thing in his life, one evening on the McLaughlin Group: “The Reagan people came to Washington to do something. The Bush people came to Washington to be somebody.”
One of the driving forces behind the Munsters was an early FReeper.

The late Norm Liebmann.
Thanks for the information. I love the Munsters!

Everybody thank Ted Cruz
I just threw up in my mouth a little.
What a disappointment that would be. The party would be in ruin.
Rule 40 would be abolished if no one has a clear path. If they don’t do that, going into the convention, then no one would get the necessary votes—not would they be able to nominate anyone else (good, bad or indifferent.)
This is only going to go on until NY. After that date, either Trump will get the 1237, or no one will.
The MR trial balloon is ridiculous. I would rather they nominate Dick Cheney or Bob Dole.
It would be basically a replay of 1992, though Hillary would likely win by an even larger margin than did her husband because of the greater number of minority voters.
No one expects Bernie to run as a third party. If the GOP splits, and Trump runs third party then Bernie could split the Dem vote and run third party.
The might be the last election in American History...but it would be a hoot to watch.
Personally, I think the people who want to be President should put forth their bone fides to the Party the year before. Then the party pays for several debates and finally, there is a national “closed” primary day.
This way we get the crap out of the way in short order. The Party gets their way. The people have a say.
What lots of folks are missing is that these are “Party” primaries. The Party is in control. If the candidate is a republican or democrat, they should be a standing member of their party.
The obvious problem is that many of “us”, as conservatives, are no longer in alignment with the Republican party. I guess that is OK. But where do we go?
In the end, the people in “the party” are going to make the calls.
There needs to be more than two parties.
It is going to get ugly.
We need to get it organized.
And it isn’t going to happen in 2016.
In my mind, we can hope for Hillary’s indictment. And then we can hope for Bernie and Liz Warren to take over the Dems.
That is the only scenario that works for the republicans.
Nah.
It's 1860.
Yeah....thats true.
What’s the deal about this supposed 2012 Romney picture with an alleged mistress? Some connection with the Panama Papers?
