Amanda Carpenter, former communications director for Sen. Ted Cruz (CR97%) and one of his alleged mistresses claims, “I had a purely professional relationship with Senator Cruz.”
In an in interview with with CNN’s Jake Tapper on “The Lead” on Tuesday, Carpenter said, “I’m stuck in this box where I am forced to try to defend every smear that comes after me, my husband, my children, online or suffer in silence.”
Tapper asked Carpenter, “Have you had ever any sort of intimate relationship with Senator Cruz, Anything at all? Anything that could be considered inappropriate?”
Carpenter, who is now a CNN political commentator replied, “No, I had a purely professional relationship with Senator Cruz. And I want too go further than that. I have been 100 percent faithful to my husband. There’s nothing more important to me than being a good wife and a good mother and it’s been very hard the past few days to have my character called into question and watch this blow back on them. So thank you for having me here to talk about it. And I hope no one else has to go through this.”

I thought her answer is a good one. Why did it take so long? I thought Cruz’s answer, blaming Trump for the story instead of a direct denial, fueled the flames.
Hmmmm... provocative selfies twittered about don’t seem in keeping with a deep hearted faithfulness to husband/family nor a “completely professional” relationship with clientele, methinks.

Perhaps the ladies can tell from that one photo with her where she has her eyes closed and her lips like she is kissing him while he appears to be looking to see who is watching while he merely kisses her on her left cheek as it seems like she wanted or has had more ? The holding waists is something different. I am not big on this stuff but; I was taught to kiss on the cheek and keep my hands off another woman.

I hate defending Amanda as she likes to devote her time on CNN to bashing Trump and has made a blacklist of all Trump supporters, but I looked at a picture of her daughter and her son, and the two of them look alike. I believe her kids are her kids with her husband.

That is exactly the response many would make if Ted denied this mistress story.

Exactly. It’s not like they were blindsided by it. They have had months to engineer a response.
This isn't conservative reasoning, it's Trumpster reasoning. The fish rots from the head, and the Trumpster mob take their queues from one of the most disgusting campaigns I've ever seen. Donald Trump is a vile candidate that has dragged the entire primary into the gutter with his smears, lies, calling everyone names, belittling people, trashing people, rage tweets - it is only natural that Trumpsters follower their leader Trumpking into the sewer.
Most of them know perfectly well what you pointed out. That Carpenter is damned if she responds, damned if she doesn't. Trumpsters don't care about reputations ruined, lives wrecked, etc. We saw that this weekend with the endless posting of utterly ridiculous rumors, gossip, random conspiracy tweets, silly stuff like the "Candy Wrapper" interview - heck Trumps own social media director himself tweeted out a link to some of this garbage.
