That National Enquirer Ted Cruz "bombshell" confirmed a huge nothingburger
Twitter ^ | 2/24/2016 | Some guy who took a picture

Posted on 03/24/2016 3:53:37 PM PDT by 20yearsofinternet

Link goes directly to picture of the article that's good enough to read.

FULL Disclosure: I'm not a Cruz supporter, but I hate this kind of sleaze and I'm hoping that we can put this to rest before it gets submitted 500 times.

The entire article is based off of the threat from a hoax "Anonymous" account on Twitter, which later turned out to be a RickRoll (all related tweets have since been deleted). I am pretty sure the "details" are actually lifted from replies to the original tweet, LOL. Since they're deleted, I can't be sure. Point being, it was all a hoax and there's nothing there at all, and that's what the article is based off of.

Anyway, just wanted to put it out there that it's typical NE trash, not one of their once-per-decade real bombshells.

Carry on with the War of the Wives. :)

what’s the connection to Sarah Isgur Flores? The 3rd one identified so far

2009, she was the political director of Ted Cruz’s 2010 Senate campaign, Texans for Ted Cruz.

I agree something is not right about Cruz. And Heide seems like something isn’t right with her either. I think it might be mental illness. Maybe it’s just the same ick factor as Ted.

If you notice, every interview Cruz has is an opportunity to slam trump. And I am not talking two days but a month at least. I understand why when he brings a policy like watching Muslim neighborhoods gets panned and Neil bush has to come out and say Christians too. What a mess. I agree with Cruz’ policy but he goes and PC the darn thing.

Apparently she later worked for Carly.

And Susan Isgar Flores was a Deputy Campaign manager for (surprise!!!) Carly Fiorina (who received 500k from a Cruz SuperPAC and *surprise* endorsed Cruz).

The term “thick as thieves” doesn’t cover it...but an EXPLODING CRUZ MISSLE sure does.

yeah, I’m just now reading the speculation that this is why Cruz gave $500,000 to Carly’s PAC while Sarah Isgur Flores was running it.

I was never really politically involved before coming to FR not too long ago (really not long ago at all). I just read the newspapers and what I found on Google and stuff. Fascinating stuff to be honest. I had no idea all these people were inter-connected to each other.

someones post at CTH:

Sarah Isgur Flores was Carly Fiorina’s Deputy Campaign Manager. She previously worked as Political Director for Texans for Ted Cruz in 2010.

Since you’ve never seen it, then I guess it never happened.

Sigh. Idiocy has taken over America.

Several of the “The Five” (ironic Fox diss) were previously involved in Texans For Cruz.

Now follow me here...Heidi’s away making policy for CFR and working (at a high level) for Goldman Sachs (and filling out personal loan papers on her coffee breaks).

Ted is all alone in TX and has all these volunteers. Now does one volunteer, let’s call her Amanda, know about any other volunteers, say one possibly named Susan, or Katrina or do the ALL think “they are the only one, he’s in a sham marriage, he’s going to be a Senator” ...could one or three now feel SCORNED?

Smoke, fire.

Well, there are those that play mindgames. So it’s best to sit back and wait awhile. If there’s anything to it, it will grow its own legs.

What I found revealing is Cruz’ roommate in college. He was beyond critical of Cruz’ personality.

Whereas Donald’s military academy colleagues have nothing but praise for his character.

I was one of Ted’s strongest supporters, but when he was captured by the GOP establishment, it opened my eyes to a different view of him.

I am still shocked that the first comment about Brussels that Cruz made was in reference to Trump and Trump’s view of NATO. That was more than awful. If Donald had done something like that, I would be pissed as well.

Stone is a great admirer of Trump, associate and friend for decades, and Stones is working on a project for the Trump campaign, and I am pretty sure it's a mutual admiration society but can't recall specifically Trump mentioning Stone.

BTW Stone says he has a big story coming out Monday.

Stone's interviews and commentaries are great.

I don’t believe this happened 15 years ago, I think it’s a lot more recent.

They were in college 15 years ago--Katrina and Amanda, both. Presumably had not yet started their political careers, but that's just a guess. Cruz would have been an "older man", right.

They may not be the affairs that date back to fifteen years ago. Who knows.

I still can't get my head around a woman sleeping with him. He's so creepy, but I'm a man so I don't have a point of view really. I figure some or all of his "conquests" were sleeping with him to advance their careers, as Megyn Kelly did with Brit Hume (and probably others...Murdoch?) to get where she is.

The story about Rush’s drug use was first posted on FR years ago, by an account called “The National Enquirer” (or maybe National Enquirer). It was quickly deleted - but then put back up with a more amended version.

Unfortunately, it turned out to be somewhat accurate, and Rush was forced to acknowledge his issues in public, and seek help.

It was a dark time for Rush, and imo—FReepers who stood by him.

I'm with you.

In his senate years, Ted "lives" in Washington DC and Heidi in Texas. At times before that, it was reverse---Ted lived in Texas as Solicitor General and Heidi in DC working for Bush. So when the cat's away...He would have had plenty of opportunity.

Google around or look through my previous posts---I have posted a whole lot of info and links on Heidi---there's an interview with Heidi where she says the daughters refer to Ted, when he comes home from Washington for the weekend or whatever, "the guest."

Heidi has said she has a nanny, maybe more than one, so probably during this campaign she's maybe able to keep an eye on Ted's roving eye more.
