I am a Trump supporter but I would like to know if Cruz's comments about Chicago changed the mind of any of his supporters. Is it A) no difference I still support Cruz B) I am rethinking my support for Cruz C) I am now going to support another candidate or not voting?

Trump keeps claiming he’ll get crossover Democrat votes and win the black vote, the Hispanic vote. It’s not working out so well, is it? It’s just more of his empty bluster. He doesn’t have a unifying message. Cruz’ message of true conservatism and Judeo-Christian values is what would be unifying in the general election.
Also, these protestors did not come to cause violence. They would’ve shouted down Trump, but there is nothing that indicates any of them were planning violence. Reports were that the police did not say Trump could not go forward with the rally. So Trump chickened out instead of facing them down. So much for his tough guy act.
This is why one protestor said they were doing this. Trump has created a uniquely divisive campaign which will see him not only not get crossover votes, but absolutely energize the Democrat party to vote against him the same way Obama energized them to vote for Obama. Trump is unelectable.

Your premise works if the event was actually secured.
Of course, the mayor of Chicago had incentive to secure the event.
2. Ditto for TPA . A real conservative would never consider giving up the Senate's Constitutional duty to check the executive on treaties or trade deals. But Cruz this . This was showed me initially that Cruz was a fake.
3. Ditto for the Corker bill. I real conservative would never consider allowing Iran to build nukes which the Corker bill did which Cruz voted for.

For one thing, Cruz did not say the comment to which you refer. It was Beck.
But to indulge the analogy, if someone actually were to attempt to stab Trump as a result of Beck’s encouragement, Beck would ABSOLUTELY bear some measure of the blame. Just like last night’s protestors, the actual “stabber” would be the guilty party, and fully liable for legal recourse. But every honest man would chastise Beck for his inflammatory comments.
Put another way, the victim of an assault should never be blamed in a primary sense, but if a guy goes into Compton wearing a sandwich board with racial epithets on it, we would probably mention that it wasn’t a great idea (yes, that’s a shout out to Die Hard 3) when someone predictably attacks him.

I have long had Cruz as my #1 choice, but I am seriously rethinking that. No excuse for what he said last night.
I thought he was different. Instead, he is signaling he would back down from the BLM crowd as well.
I’ll be honest. I don’t think Trump has a prayer in the general election, but I am very tempted to vote for him just to send an FU to the GOP-E and the rest of the Left.

It’s not conservative to blame the victim. This protest was organized by the left. Bill Ayers came out of the woodwork to take credit. These are the same people who organized Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter. The facebook pages prove that this particulare rally has been planned since at least Mar 4th.
What happened to Trump when the guy stormed the stage today is only the beginning. If they succeed in taking down Trump, they will go after everyone else.
Storming the stage today was similar to Glenn Beck’s stabbing comments if he was ever on stage with Trump. I never heard Cruz disavow Beck’s stabbing comments.

I’m not thrilled with any of the candidates, but I certainly wouldn’t choose Trump. And as far as blaming the victim goes, he isn’t exactly innocent.

It doesn’t. But you cannot get back to complete constitutional government in one jump. It is simply not possible. Just as we are restoring Second Amendment rights incrementally, we have to cut back the unconstitutional federal government incrementally.
To do what you want is to eliminate 75% of the government all at once. It will never happen, unless we lose a big war, have a shooting revolution, or some other catastrophe, and it is not at all clear that we will end up with a limited government on the other side. In fact, the odds are against it.
Incrementalism has a chance, because it can make things better slowly, leading to the next step.

in other words, the GOVERNMENT can not suppress free speech but it doesn't guarantee that there will be no non-governmental consequences to you when exercising your free speech. Trump does bear some responsibility for reactions to his big mouth.
