Turning Against Trump
American Thinker ^

Posted on 02/21/2016 11:42:37 AM PST by GodGunsGuts

People who pride themselves on rational thinking know there are few feelings worse than being wrong about something, especially something that they made a big noise about at the time. What helps lessen this intellectual humiliation is understanding that, given the information available at the time, the decision was a rational one at the time. The remedy for the initial error is to use the newly available information to reach a more reasoned decision.

As the campaign season goes forward, we're learning more about Donald Trump's politics and seeing his initial ebullient puckishness too often give way to self-referential arrogance and venomous hubris. Now is a good time for Trump supporters to use this new information to revisit their original conclusion about him and to realize, with no shame attached, that he's not the candidate they thought he was...

You expected Trump to just roll over and take the GOPe stacking the audience against him?

Trump is calling them out for their unfair tactics.

Trump isn’t going to have to run independent. He is going to win the GOP nomination. But Trump will fight until the final bell rings. And he has no intention of letting the GOPe openly attack him without retaliation.

Is there a State you expect Cruz to win other than perhaps Texas?

Iowa?

Nationally, Trump’s favorability rating of -30 is the worst of anyone running. He will not get the nomination with that number. Rubio will be the nominee.

he just might break his pledge and run as an independent if he isn’t nominated. If he’s willing to do that, I can’t trust him.

Ok, given that GOPe has breached their pledge to him as well as their duty to their supporters, which is more important, Trump's so-called pledge to GOPee or Trump's covenant with the voters of this country to represent their interest?

And a negative rating of 60%...the highest negatives in the history of polling for negatives!

Lincoln knew that Grant wasn’t the perfect strategist, or best commander

Actually he was about the best we ever had. Those who are as good and have followed him have the benefit of studying his tactics and his strategy.

"He fights" isn't the only thing. He fought where it mattered and he fought intelligently to win.

No one would ever vote for a candidate like that. Oh, wait. Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Free Republic. Tell me it is not so!

I was full on for Trump until he dropped the hint that he just might break his pledge and run as an independent if he isn't nominated. If he's willing to do that, I can't trust him.

I'm not opposed to voting for Trump if he's the nominee, but come on, man ... a cursory review of his track record and public statements should be enough to convince you that he can't be trusted. Over the course of 20 years -- or even 20 days -- he's been all over the map on just about any issue.

Those against Trump are the modern day Redcoats.

And those that make statements like the above are modern day fools.

I will concede that knows what is wrong in trade, however Cruz has been to the right of Trump on Immigration for years. Most of my problems with Trump stem to his personal character, or lack there of.

Trump has said he would not bring a lawsuit against Cruz’s eligibility, fast forward just three short months and Cruz is nipping at his heels in the race for the nomination. Now he threatens the very thing he said he wouldn’t do.

Cruz uses Donald’s own words in an ad, and Trumps response is that Cruz is nasty and a liar. He never clarifies what was said.

Trump apparently was appalled when the news reports of Iowa came out saying Cruz cheated against Carson. Yet he is perfectly fine with the same being done to Cruz, I am talking about the Gowdy accusation, which no proof that I know of has been provided. If cheating is bad when you lose, shouldn’t cheating be just as bad even when you win.

He is a great businessman, but not once, twice, thrice, but four times he ran his businesses to the point where he needed to file the bankruptcy of those companies. However before he did that he got himself out, so that the creditors couldn’t touch his money, and left the shareholders, and creditors holding the bag for millions of dollars worth of debt.

He says he always wins, however what about his Airlines, Board game, steaks, and university. If those ventures are winning, then America can’t afford to win.

He spoke at my University, I was there when he said two Corinthians. No Christian, even a self proclaimed one, calls second Corinthians, two Corinthians.

His claim that he does not need forgiveness from God. Any one who claims this has already missed the entire point of the Gospels, the Epistles, and the Old Testament. You show me a Christian who claims to not need God’s forgiveness, and I will show you a fool who doesn’t hold Christian teachings.

Finally Trump signed a pledge stating that if he doesn’t win the nomination hi would not run third party. Just over the past several weeks he brought up the fact that he would consider it.

If he would break his pledge not to run third party, then what else will he decide that he doesn’t need to honor his word about.

Trump is plenty conservative.

Then it should be pretty easy to list his conservative accomplishments. I don't mean the promises he is making to garner your vote today - actual conservative actions.
