Do Not Support Trump For President
NOLAN CHART ^ | 15 February 2016 | Colonel Steven B. Vitali

Posted on 02/16/2016 6:29:36 AM PST by Col Vit

To all patriots who support Trump and who watched the Republican Presidential debate the other night in Greenville, South Carolina. I speak to you as a conservative who is as frustrated with Obama and the Republican elite establishment as you are.

That said, I am having great difficulty understanding the rational for the continued Trump support after the debate.

Do you really think that a Republican was the reason for 9/11?

Do you really believe Trump when he said Bush lied on purpose about Iraq?

Do you really believe Trump that Bush lost the Iraqi war instead of the truth which is that Bush won the Iraqi war and then Obama walked away from an Iraqi victory and it is Obama’s failures that brought about ISIS?

Trump has made charges that even the hardest of all Democrats are unwilling to make. We don’t advance and win the White House by agreeing with the Democrats in their wild conspiracy theories.

What about Trump’s stance on foreign policy? We see the impacts to our national security from Obama leading from behind. Trump’s vision is similar to Obama’s. He wants to make other nations fight our interest and wants to allow Russia to continue in its fight against the interest of the United States. Trump cannot even recognize the obvious that Russia is not attacking ISIS. Is Trump that naive like Obama? Great, the same Americans that flocked to support Obama now race to Trump with the same results being achieved.

I was giving Trump the benefit of the doubt until the other night when he quickly shed any pretense that he was anything but another liberal clone. For any conservative who supports Trump, wake up. Trump is not a conservative and no Republican should be snickered to think otherwise.

We are mutually tired and sick at our Republican Party establishment that has failed to stand up against the Obama juggernaut. Obama was elected by mainstream media that built him up to a God celebrity status. Trump is another renowned celebrity king and once again the entertainment mind-set is predominate and runs amok in our pick for our next President.

Wow, after the Obama disaster, why follow and place your dreams on a man of little statue, integrity, honor, or character to our highest office. I just don’t get it. I agree with some of the arguments of Trump, but I don’t trust his character or his integrity to follow through on his promises. Already he has backtracked. He speaks in platitudes when he is not heaving personal attacks against a fellow Republican. He has little capacity of the historical facts to take great advantage of Hillary or Bernie during a debate.

Trump incessantly speaks about his negotiation skills. Yes, we are mad as heck about our Republican leader’s failure to fight Obama, Reid, and Pelosi, but if you listen to Trump, his great asset he states is his negotiating skills with Democrats. Really? He said he would not use the Executive Privilege to force his opinions and he has repeatedly attacked conservative Republicans like Cruz for fighting against Obama. So then what can we really expect from a Trump negotiation with a potential Democrat controlled Senate after 2016? Do you really think Trump will fight for conservative principles? Keep dreaming?

Heck, think about the reality of the Supreme Court under a Trump Administration. He recently stated that former liberal Republican Senator Brown would be a good Supreme Court candidate. That said, in your heart, how do you reconcile the notion that Trump will appoint a conservative legal scholar on the Supreme Court? Please, stop being delusional and don’t place dreams upon Trump that he will not meet for a second. Go ahead and nominate more moderate to liberal Supreme Court Justices and you can kiss away your prosperity, gun rights, religious freedoms, freedom of speech, and equal justice under the law. Oh yes, you must like the abuses of the EPA, IRS, overzealous governmental regulations, etc. Keep with Trump and you are guaranteed to live your future in Obama’s transnational system.

It is time to smell the roses my friends instead of being led to the privy. Our nation cannot stand or afford another failure of a President. We cannot elect a Marxist like Bernie, a criminal like Hillary, nor another narcissist like Trump who bellows and attacks across the wide spectrum but under that false facade, there is an empty suit.

Please, let’s not bet our nation’s future on a liberal who turned conservative and then sways with the wind when it suits his interest.

The time for reflection is upon us. Do not be swayed by me, the media, or Trump’s lofty words. Think historically of what the Presidency stood for and the caliber of the man elected to that esteemed office. Obama subverted our constitution and failed the leadership test. I beseech you, do not allow yourself, my fellow Americans, to chase in vein the same pipe dream and failed entertainer leadership.

Obama and all our establishment elites on both sides of the isle destroyed our view and respect of government. Let’s not now resort to the same type of flaw character choice for President. Please do not let your short memory abate your duty to this country to elect a President who will secure and protect our liberty, our rule of law, our prosperity, and our national interest.

Then, by your definition, “real patriots” believe everything he says today - including Saturday night, and disregard everything he has said or done in the past:

“Hillary Clinton would make a great president or vice president.”

“Obama is a superstar” - 3 1/2 years into his first term, at which point most “real patriots” knew he was a disaster.

Opposes illegal immigration and will build a wall, despite the fact that he used Polish illegals to build one of his hotels to avoid using union labor and avoid contributions to a union pension fund.

Bought a bar in Philadelphia from a known organized crime figure (Salvatore Testa) and paid him twice its assessed market value.

If that’s your definition of a real patriot, count me out.

Why Trump?
1) Trump will not join the abortion/gay. This is not for the govt. to be involved in.
2) Although at the time I supported W, the truth about his presidency is that it was BS. He lied just like Obama.
3) Trump is willing to let Putin take down ISIS. Have at it.
4) Trump will is anti-GOP. YAY!
5) Trump may stop the anti-Constitution fall our Republic is heading. Both parties hate him so much. Maybe this will be the catalyst.

Vote Trump.

Everything in my gut told me 0bama was bad news for the country...that gut feeling happened in 2004 while watching his speech at the DNC convention. He wasn’t even running then...

Trump gives me a similar gut reaction. And many of his supporters here actually scare me with the level of vitriol I have seen. Evaluation and discussion has stopped, literally stopped as both sides attack with a vengeance that almost seems possessed.

Matthew 4, 2 Maccabees 6:12-16 Providential Significance of Persecution keep coming to mind when I consider Trump. And oddly even something along of the lines of running to safety and not deserving liberty pops up too in my feeble mind these days.

Persecution and temptations come. Our nation needs wise leaders, but until the nation repents and turns from her ways we won’t have any. And there in lies the spiritual rub, eh. God disciplines the individual, but waits on the full measure of sin for nations.

The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert, so that the devil could test him. ...

There is no such thing as, “Do not forsake God, but...”

“You Cruz guys are so willing to twist the truth..”

Yes, ONLY Cruz supporters twist the truth, because Donald is immaculate and has NEVER told a lie. And Cruz is the biggest liar, EVER, in the entire history of humanity, which is not a lie because Trump said it. Why Ted must be worse than a Ted Bundy, probably a mass murderer.

Do Trump supporters realize that the Donald will eventually turn on them just as viciously? Because no oe can ever please the Donald 100%, everyone else is a slimy idiot.

And which candidate was it who said Carson was like a child molestor?

That was bad but it is not the same thing as telling caucus voters, at the exact moment of their vote, that someone had dropped out when he hadn't. I don't know if it changed a single person's actions that night but it really was a terrible thing to do. I think it hurt Cruz badly in NH and beyond.

According to W they re one family...brothers you know. Although Jeb should be upset at W saying Clinton as a brother by a different mother as it speaks poorly of dad’s choice in women. Clinton’s mom was quite the tramp. Then so was obama’s maybe another brother too.

I read a lot about this before we went into Iraq. Every bit of information I could find then synthesized in my head and I believed we should go.

Now I regret believing that. It was wrong, which sometimes takes history to play back. If the Bush people had been chess players instead of checkers, if they had nothing but the American interests (yes, including world democracy) at heart, they would not have gone into Iraq. They would have known that what has happened in the destabilized Middle East would happen in the way they went about it. Saddam deserved what he got and worse. But it’s hard to throw gasoline in a powderkeg. I’m not smart enough to know how, from outside, to stabilize the Middle East, but dear Gd, first Do No Harm.

Now... I do not wish to defend the elitist establishment, but Trump’s efforts are and appear to be targeted towards the RNC just as much as they are towards the media

Thank Gd for Donald Trump.

Go ahead, I'm a conservative too, but you keep drinking that 'conservative koolaid' that the rest of the politicians have been spoon feeding us all these years to get their vote with no reciprocity whatsoever in carrying out what we've wanted.

As for me, I will not drink from the same cup any longer!

Just this alone. If you care about a constitutional republic, proud of itself in the world, with jobs and prosperity, vote Trump.

And you aren't bothered by the level of vitriol from Cruz supporters?

Were you not bothered by the Cruz supporter who, in a screaming tantrum, damned all Trump supporters to Hell?

Don’t get so upset it is bad for your health. I know it is difficult to see what a liar Cruz is after presenting himself as such a Christian. I don’t hold any illusion Trump is perfect but he is a patriot and it has been a long time since one ran for President.

Start shooting them when they lie - that will make them pay attention right quick. Unfortunately there is a downside to that approach ...

Else get used to it - all politicians lie all the time. How else are they going to tell everyone what they want to hear so they can get elected/reelected and stay in power long enough to have a multi-million dollar pension with medical care unavailable to the riff-raff?

Short of that, get the barricades up and begin the revolution - with absolutely no guarantee that you will survive or even win.

Or people can start taking ??courses?? (since they seem incapable of learning in daily life) on how to judge a person’s character and intent regardless of the words spoken.

Or just throw up one’s hands, since all of the above is far too time consuming & plain difficult and go back to watching the Kardashians ...

“There’s no reason for Trump to “get desperate”.”

You are 100% correct. The fact that he is now acting desperate and unhinged is what is so disturbing. Trump essentially had this thing won until he started going scorched earth on everyone, showing a level of instability. Sorry, but Cruz is not the biggest liar ever. And GW Bush may be an idiot, but I don’t believe he lied on purpose just to get his jollies starting a war.
