MANCHESTER, N.H. â Alabama Senator Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL)criticized Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)stance on immigration while praising Donald Trump ahead of Tuesdayâs New Hampshire primary.
Sessions, the senator viewed as the intellectual godfather of the conservative movement as it clashes with the Republican establishment in this primary, praised Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)but warned against Rubio in an interview with New England-based radio host Howie Carr on Friday night.
âThis is the deal. If the American people nominate a Republican candidate who favors amnesty and pathway to citizenship for illegalsâ¦then the matter is lost,â Sessions said gravely. âThere is one opportunity to put this country on the course of a lawful system.â
âTed Cruz I guess won in Iowa, and Ted stood by me as we fought against the Gang of 8 bill, which did pass the Senate and was on the verge of passing in the House when the leader in the House Eric Cantor got clobbered in his own district in the primary on this issue.â
âMarco Rubio was in the Gang of 8. They met in secret for several months,â Sessions said told Carr.
They met with La Raza, they met with the ACLU, they met with President Obama, they met with the Chamber of Commerce, and they wrote this bill and he became the chief proponent of this bill. And it would have increased the lawful flow of immigration from the colossal number of one million a year to one million point five, and it would have legalized eleven million people and put them on the path to citizenship.
âI think we should not nominate somebody who adheres to the views carried out by the Gang of 8 immigration bill,â Sessions said.

I wish I could play poker with Sessions.
Nick,
Your comments the last six months are so oblique or snide that its like you have lost your mind.
What gives?
KC Burke
Trump/Palin would be the best team to mess with the media but Trump/Sessions would be the best on policy.
What!
ISSUES!?!
He’s DISCUSSING issues! Must not have gotten the word. This a “no issues” election.
Don’t hold your breath that there aren’t many different arrows in that quiver!

I agree with you on practical methods of self-deport. However, the deportation game will be won or lost on citizenship status and whether or not the deportees will have legal protection under the constitution to resist deportation.

Please see defense of deportation as described below...you will understand the longer we kick down the road...the worse the chances of deportation become...

The current lawless state will require resolve to fix and will most likely finish the career of anyone willing to try. One more reason to get a non-politician to do it.
He might not need to talk to Trump since once of his top aids joined the Trump campaign.
The cities, states, government agencies and yes, church “charity agencies” sheltering illegals, providing free English lessons, not to mention corporations who recruit South of the Border, then provide housing, transportations and yes, drivers’ licenses to illegals, need to be charged with felonies and insisting on jail time, not merely “fines paid to the government!
Placemark for rotten Rubio link compendium.
Heh... I have more, y’know, if ya want ‘em...
