From 2013 - Same Ted Cruz then as the Ted Cruz now.

VOTE TED CRUZ!!

A couple of scriptures for this crazy election season.

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. - Romans 12:18

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. - Romans 12:21

Sounds like a Washington insider to me.

They forgot to list that he did most of that while he was a Canadian citizen until 2014.

I have never doubted Cruz's intelligence and abilities.

He's an amazing guy.

I had to wince at a few miss-steps of late though... The bromance with the detestable Glenn Beck and the ridiculous vote-shamming mailer... what was he thinking!?

Ted Cruz has a resume testifying to his brilliance as a lawyer and a politician, yet he somehow wasn’t bright enough to know that he was a lifelong Canadian citizen with millions of dollars of campaign loans he forgot to report to the proper authorities...yeah like that story is going to fly at election time.

Where in that impressive resume is there any indication that Ted Cruz can take on the entrenched Federal Bureaucracy and win? There is absolutely no executive experience there.

This is exactly the same situation we had with Barack Obama. A young, clean, articulate first-term Senator with absolutely no executive experience. With Ted we get the added bonus points because we know he wanted to be President since High School. Just like Bill Clinton did.

So, folks, do you really want to try this again? Or do you want to take a wild ride on the the Trump Train to make America great again?

It's lawyer centric and not varied enough to be President.

With a resume like that, it sounds like he should do something he is qualified for, like ...being a lawyer.

He is not an executive of any kind. No discernible managerial skills.

So he’s a lawyer.

A good lawyer, but a lawyer just the same.

What has he produced? What has he built in his lifetime? How many jobs has he produced? How many people does he have on payroll who depend on him to live?

I’m sick of lawyers. I want a man that can build. I want a man who’s actually lived the consequences of his actions.

Incidentally, one of Trump’s ‘bankruptcies’ was done just to keep the entire staff employed. He took the hit for the people... that’s not mentioned much.

NO MORE FREAKING LAWYERS AND NO MORE POLITICIANS.

With this impressive resume, why has Rafael Edward “Ted” Cruz failed to resolve his eligibility problem? Why does he go by “Ted” and not his real name, Rafael?

This problem pains me to the max because, through all of this effort to be President, this great person; with all of his accomplishments, may be neutralized by a court room verdict.

Even though I am supporting Trump, Senator Cruz always has been high in my admiration. I understand those who support him so passionately. If Trump does get nominated, I want him to put Senator Rafael Edward “Ted” Cruz on the ticket. He would have to resolve the eligibility problem, because the Vice President also needs to be a “natural born citizen.” Once through that hurdle, they would be the ultimate dream team. Both would benefit from each other. The Donald would be brought light years ahead in his Conservative journey and make the best President our nation needs. Cruz will learn Trump’s skills as a leader. Then, he will use those skills when he becomes an Abraham Lincoln class President. Case closed.

In other words, Cruz has been cashing government checks all his working life? Never had a job in private sector? Never owned a business?

Plus Cruz 'gets it' on the complex situation in Syria, regarding Russia's broader (expansionist) agenda there, and elsewhere. Trump either doesn't or is in cahoots with Putin on it. One would have to be mighty naive (at best) to support a Putin butt kissing chump like Trump.

______________________________________

Ted Cruz on ISIS, Russia, Obama, missile defense, and the New START Treaty with Russia...

"If we want to actually dismantle ISIS, we need to dramatically change course. We need a real, robust campaign that maximizes our overwhelming air advantage.

We need to focus our efforts not on trying to create friends, but on supporting our real ones, especially the Kurds in Iraq and Syria who have actually had success against ISIS."

-snip-

"We can redouble our efforts to develop the defensive weapons that neutralized the offensive Soviet threat -- particularly missile defense, which has seen a 25% budget reduction under Obama, according to an analysis from the conservative Heritage Foundation, and has been constrained by bad arms deals like New START.

We should not only move quickly to install the canceled interceptor sites Putin opposed in Poland and the Czech Republic, but also to develop the next generation of systems that will only increase his discomfiture.

These options do not entail a ground war in Syria, yet would effectively shake us free from the failed policies that have brought us to our current impasse.

These options set us on a new path that puts Putin on notice that the United States is reclaiming our traditional role as leader of the free world."

http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/09/opinions/cruz-syria-putin/index.html

**********************************************************

"I think it would be a mistake to get involved in the Syrian civil war. There have been voices in Washington eager for us to send our sons and daughters over to fight that civil war for some time. I haven't been one of them. I think the touchstone of U.S. military policy should be protecting the national security of this country."

"What we're seeing Putin in Russia do is a direct response to the profound weakness of Obama over six and a half years.

Putin views Obama as weak, as ineffective, and frankly, as a laughingstock. And, as a result, he is moving in, he is invading his neighbors, like Ukraine, he's kidnapping Estonians, and he's moving into Syria to gain a stronger foothold in the Middle East."

**********************************************************

Ted Cruz:
"We need a coherent plan to address both the specific crisis in Syria and the challenge posed more broadly by Putin's resurgent Russia.

The good news is that America still has options, if our leaders can summon the will to exercise them.

For starters, in Syria we can't double down on the failed strategies that have given Putin his opportunity to intervene.

We are now two years out from President Obama's proposed intervention after al-Assad used chemical weapons against his own people. ..."

I searched the resume carefully, but I did not see anywhere how he has satisfied the Constitutional requirement for President. That mandatory job qualification needs to be number one on the list.

Thanks for posting this. What it prove is that Ted Cruz has no experience in his background that qualifies him to be a good president. Supreme Court justice maybe.

Love Ted Cruz and his excellent resume - but - and I have this problem with most candidates - that’s thin on private sector substance. I don’t know how you can effectively run the Executive Branch (read: Regulation and Bureaucracy and Budget and Efficiency) without leadership experience in business. Someone like Rubio has NEVER had a job making Cruz look like Trump. Fiorina has the experience but the tell is she’s failed. Carson has some but his direct reports were all geniuses in their own right, an easier group to lead.

All well and good except Cruz inspires nobody except his group of devotees. The man is simply not a leader. He’s an agitator. And Mark Levin is nowhere near being the Great One. He’s exposed himself as just another guy with a dog in this fight, just like all the rest of us.

What I find interesting is that you are talking about principles to people that don't have any. Do a posting search (after you click on a poster's name, click "In Forum" up at the top) on many of the most vociferous Trump supporters here, the ones that throw around ad hominems and insults. Go back 6 months or so, or back to the government shutdown. Many of them were praising Cruz for standing up to Obama and McConnell.

So, as soon as a populist like Trump comes along, they change their tune. Someone who they were praising for standing up for conservative ideals, now is not a conservative to them. They blow with the popular wind. Why would they value principles, when they don't have any themselves...?
