Just when Sarah Palin’s enemies thought they would not have her to kick around anymore, she dropped the political equivalent of a nuclear bomb and endorsed Donald Trump for president. Her 20-minute speech at a rally in Ames, Iowa while the Donald stood by like a fidgety school boy was a stream of consciousness production that so violated the conventional rules of rhetoric that Cicero would have opened his veins had he heard it. But Hunter Schwarz caught the poetic cadence of chiasmus, a Hebrew form of parallelism which she likely picked up attending church. The Washington elites may have rolled their eyes but her target audience, evangelicals, understood her exactly.

Trump, in 2013, endorsed communist Bill De Blasio for New York City mayor. He supports Obama's opening up to communist Cuba. He loves KGB Putin. He, in his mid-50s, supported gays in the military AND partial birth abortion.

The bright side for me was when she used the word ‘Trumpeters’ which is a word I coined on FR the first day DJT announced (and not to my knowledge used anywhere else), accidentally revealing, to those paying attention to such trivial matters, that SP is at least FR lurker and maybe a poster.

Palin is backing Trump because she sees that he has the best chance of being elected and actually stopping The Cheap Labor Express.
If we don’t stop the illegal alien inundation none of those other issues that people are concerned with will matter. The democrats will have one party majority rule in perpetuity.
Probably because she looked at all the candidates, and decided that Trump was the most likely to win, not only the nomination, but the best suited for taking on the Clinton machine, and beating it. Not too hard to figure out.
Exactly! It really isn’t anyone’s business who she endorses. The same goes for people who back Cruz or any other candidate.
She made it clear why she endorsed Trump in her speech. I’m glad she did it in a manner that infuriates the GOP elitist snobs.

When asked by Jake Tapper on the Sunday show a while ago, he asked if she were to be considered for a Cabinet post, what would she like to be considered for. Her response was quick and decisive, Energy. She was also quick to say it would be the shortest tenure ever for that post as she would go into it with the intention to close it as soon as possible.
