You've heard the speculation. But what if it really happens? What do We collectively or individually do if Obama invokes martial law under some pretext? What if he orders American military forces to fire upon American citizens? Is there no chance this will happen? Or is there every chance this will happen?
I was thinking the same thing.
Obama called Iran to tell them where our sailors were, on 2 boats that are heavily-armed and that travel in pairs so that there is no danger of them both having “mechanical failure” at the same time. There is WAY more to that story than meets the eye, just as was the case with Benghazi. North Korea (which works with Iran on nuke capabilities) just practiced a nuke test which has some people saying they’ve gut a super EMP bomb. As I mentioned before Iran has practiced delivery systems that would be used in an EMP attack. Iran has also imported Hezbollah and Hamas operatives in unchecked flights from Iran to Venezuela, and IIRC Venezuela is cooperating with Iran on potential missile launch capability (or maybe it was Cuba; I forget the details). Obama will be with both Castro and his communist buddies in Venezuela in November and December of this year - perfect timing for Iran to do what they’ve been saying all along that they would...
I believe we have nothing to fear. If for some reason, that ever happened, I believe in my heart our brave men and women in the military would remember their oath to “protect from enemies both foreign and domestic”.
What about an EMP attack? What happens then?
We have a hole in our southern radar defense, which has always been a problem but nobody did anything about it because our enemies either didn’t have a nuke or didn’t have the capability of hitting us from the southern hemisphere.
Now, thanks to Obama, the enemies who have sworn to use nukes to hit the US as soon as they had a bomb now have a bomb. And they have practiced the delivery needed to deliver it from the southern hemisphere.
There is way more to be said, and I’ve tried to put bits and pieces into my latest comments, but the picture is NOT looking good. When you understand who Obama has always been allies with, what they’ve said about how they will destroy the US, and what Obama has been doing to hurt America and enable our communist and Islamist enemies (with whom Obama has always been allied)... it is not a pretty picture.
If/when an EMP hits, the only food, water, protection, and shelter people will have is what they were willing to procure while others were still ridiculing and saying “It’ll never happen.”
In the past I thought if it was going to happen it would happen so fast that there was no use preparing. But as I think of the very real possibility that my kids could die of thirst while I am unable to do a thing to help... I know I have to be prepared. If it is possible for me to prevent that suffering I have to do it, even if others say that need will never arise.
Wow, I forgot about that TV series. Could be a similar scenario. But the people I know would rebound to fight back. I live in a small farm town away from the big cities. Just on my road alone I know I can count on six neighbors to band together. There’s a lot more, but then again the town consists of about 1,500 people. There’s thousands of town just like that across the nation.
To keep from going to jail for his many known and unknown crimes—Obama may well try an EO and bring in Martial Law—because of some crisis—like Assassinations. Black Lives matter riots, Terrorism like 9-11. Bombs—EMP attacks Grid gone. That way he can serve a 3rd Term. The Supream Court is comprimised (Obama has something on Roberts) and will go along. He can dismiss congress and rule by decree after tossing in Jail the Generals and admirals that do not agree with him. It could happen—This primary might be the last election in a decade. His hand picked congress will make Obama President for Life. What will people do once the shootings start? ZIP. Fear will rule the state.

That’s an easy one. We do exactly what the Italians did with Mussolini. We hunt him down, kill him and the treasonous b*tch who lives with him, and publicly hang them both upside down in public.
I’m not sure about “many, many terrorist sleeper cells”. The population they’re drawn from is pretty small and easily identifiable by physical characteristics. And the US is so large with a distributed population that there really isn’t a “jugular” to go for.
Add in 120 million or so gun owners with 350 million guns (so PLENTY to share). EVERYBODY is going to be armed.
Assuming there were a good number of jihadis that had stockpiled weapons, explosives and gasoline (not to hard to do) AND more importantly lots of 1970s or previous era vehicles for transport, what happens when they decide to load up those vehicles and go out and launch attacks against a crap load of experienced deer hunters with scoped rifles in the .30 caliber class?

History has shown us that in most cases where Soliders are given orders to kill or otherwise attack the civilian population they are supposed to be serving, they end up siding with the civilian population.
Obviously there are exceptions, such as the Tianemen Square Massacre, but those were hard core communist officers and soldiers doing the killing.
I honestly do not see red blooded American Soldiers killing us all across the Country.
What? A guy can’t ask questions anymore without some twit lambasting him? Time was when Free Republic was taken seriously. There are certain people, some of whom act as if they know it all, who now are above discussion.
Your’s is my thought. It’s the only logical conclusion at the moment.
You have said what I think. I hope it would never happen. I trust the integrity of our military to do the right thing. But,as you say, things happen.
I believe you’re right. However . . .
Find out (NOW) who within your reach is in charge of GIVING THE ORDERS. Who he is, where he works and lives, his travel habits and recreation. At the first sign of such an abomination, when we are forced to respond he must have an “accident” or just disappear.
Who is second in command? Same procedure. Your local militia group can task members to remove the threat. But it has to be planned out in advance as they will be hard to find and well protected when it starts.
