You love one, but you’ll vote for another, that’s a bit like, I Love my wife but I’m going to bed with the slut down the street.

I would never vote for a sneaky Canadian carpetbagger poser.

From Merriam-Webster the origin of TRUMP is the word TRIUMPH. Go Trump, you’ve got my vote.

“That love, I suppose, is really more appreciation. While I thank Trump to the high heavens for his contribution to this race, I don’t plan on voting for him. I’m voting for Ted Cruz.”

So did the author not bother to pontificate why Cruz could not do what Trump did starting last summer?

Hey thanks for having your name dragged through the dirt, being internationally condemned and threatened, risking your personal fortune, taking care of all of the well-funded GOPe candidates, and kicking the media’s butt, and putting the fear of the almighty in Hillary...

But I’m voting for the guy that didn’t do any of that?

Has a write-in candidate ever won the US presidency?

I just think we are very fortunate with the choices we have in the primary . Trump, Cruze, Rubio, are all candidates I can get excited about in an election. I also like Carson, Carly and Cristy but am not as excited over them. If Huckabee Santorum or rand Paul were to win I could ignore the problems and vote for them. the only one I have a problem with is Jeb bush but if it was Hillary or him I would vote Jeb bush .

I hope who ever the nominee is that Everyone at free republic can Kiss and makeup because I think that if we don’t win this election that a lot of the Damage done by the Democrats putting political appointees in places like the justice department, the IRS and the military will start to do permanent damage to the institution on who the non appointed personnel get promoted. We have seen the Damage appointed person can do it is a lot worse when that appointed person has non appointed people cooperating with them.

I guess you have decided to support a Conservative Imposter. Sorry he has hood winked you. Conservatives don’t get loans from Goldman Sachs and Citibank and launder the money so they don’t have to make it public. Conservatives aren’t members of the Princeton/Harvard Elite Class. Conservatives don’t have a Wall Street Employee wife manipulating the campaign contributions. I hate to destroy the myth with facts, but Cruz is a Fraud.

Well, why not? This is exactly how Cruz dispenses with his duties as a ‘constitutionalist conservative’ senator. Don’t like TPP? Vote FOR fast track TPA & reduce the number of votes needed to pass it. Ditto Corker. Ditto immigration.

WTH? Opposite world.

I am still voting Cruz, and at one time, I thought Trump was my 2nd choice, but his view on amnesty has come undone. There is LITTLE difference between him and Rubio.

Trump’s View: round them all up, send them all home, let all those without criminal past back in=amnesty

Rubio’s view: Let them all stay, except the criminals, who we’ll deport.= amnesty

Trump’s own son stated that his father is FOR amnesty.

Yes, Trump has been good for this election season, but I don’t trust him on very many issues...jobs probably the most, but the others...not so much. I don’t trust him to choose conservatives for the SC. Not at all. He just stated after the brouhaha about the videos showing PP selling baby parts that he’d not defund PP. He criticized the KY clerk for refusing to certify marriage certificates for same-sex marriage. He has thrown around several VP names that are all liberal republicans, not conservative at all.

I’d vote for him over Hillary or Bernie, but I’d have to say that his recent conversion to praying, seeking godly help, stating that he is a believer after just recently denying the need for God, etc. What can one believe? As a Christian, I’d say that he speaks out of both sides of his mouth. The Bible warns about people like this.

Thank you, Starman417

I feel pretty much the same way.

Three major differences between Trump and Cruz were given.
These are enough, but there are many others.

I can hold my nose and vote for Trump in the general, if necessary.

But only Cruz for the primary.

You sound like the type of person who would have “demanded” clean restrooms on the trains before you got on for “deportation.” Why you’re an inspiration to all those who would rather beat their breasts in pious self-recognition of your superior conservatism than save the country.
Voting for “Surging Ted” is the only way to save Hillary and insure eight more years of Obama.
