Just having a little fun at Cruz's expense but his talk about New York values is a little stupid.
New York - be it the city or the state or the tri-state area (NJ, CT and sometimes PA) is pretty conservative in a lot of things. For example, there is less out of wedlock births and less crime than many cities in the so called south these days and if you want to judge by divorce rates, NY and NJ rank at last while 'traditional values' states rank the highest.
Texas is one of the leading divorce rates states.

“What Democrats think from the Huff Po....”
Yeah? And you know what?
These people control 99% of the media in this nation, and now have a blunt club to beat Cruz over the head, handed to them by Cruz himself.
Boom! Exactly what I was going to say. Compare unwed child rearing in general, and I’d bet the south has the north beat in all categories for morality.
Prove it with statistics. South seems to violate a lot of commandments. The top murder states seem to be in the south.

It’s a strange thing but well-heeled liberals in northeast cities like New York often lead boring, conservative lives. I don’t know any liberal couples who have been married multiple times except one. Of course, they support no-fault divorce, abortion, gay rights, etc., but it is for others (most specifically, the poor and uneducated) not for them. Weird.
he came away from that looking like an ahole.
Which will reinforce the fact that Ted Cruz is in no way shape or form, one of them. That works for me.
Yeah. What are the abortion rates?
Yes and more black babies are aborted than are born alive.

If you have to post a left-wing rag to support your candidate.
Ted Cruz must scare the hell outta ya.
“Cruz will apologize. This will all blow over.”
No he wont.
According to some of the posts here, this will win him a landslide. For reasons we’ve yet to formulate.
The only thing Cruz can do now on this is either to apologize, and make the people covering for him look foolish, or go whole hog and stomp on NY in a needless rhetorical war where he will have to belittle them daily in order to stand by the comment.
The narrative got away from him. My advice is to apologize now before it really gets cemented into the political narrative.
Perfect. Says it all.
These liberal Trumpsuckers needn’t bother trying to tell me I should pretend to be outraged over criticism of pro-abortion, pro-queer, anti-gun values.
And Mexico.
Don't forget Mexico.
But the NY centric media is in full agreement with them.
Once again its starting to look like Ted Cruz has goaded them into proving his point.
Well then.
Stay the hell away.
I grew up in New York City. Only after not being there for many years do I realize that when you live there you are constantly saturated by liberal talking points. Abortion is a natural right, conservatives are idiots, any left value is good, etc. Even if you have conservative parents when the schools, papers, and televisions news give you a hard left slant all the time, your values are slowly corroded. In the recent NY gay parade, every man, woman, and child was exposed to total nudity. Those are New York values but not my values. Ted Cruz was right.
Makes sense. Libertarianism tends to be unfriendly to traditional marriage (what with prostitution and in general fooling around with anything with or without a pulse).
That website Ashley Madison also had a disproportionate number of members in the new South.
According to the CDC, the marriage rates for both states is about the same: 6.7 per 1,000 people in New York in 2014 and 6.9 for Texas.
less out of wedlock births
