In the past I have posted regarding my wife's mental illness and the tough times we have endured because of it. Now I am devastated to tell you all that our 19 year old daughter took her own life on November 23rd. She was diagnosed as bi-polar and was very distraught over her best friend's suicide last year.
I've never had to go through anything near this bad and I pray none of you ever do. The loss of one's child is beyond horrendous. So far we've been doing ok but there are periods of extreme grief out of the blue and many tears. She was laid to rest this past Monday.
I ask that anyone who is willing to please pray for my daughter and my entire family.
May God grant your family mercy and peace.

I am so sorry for you and your family. I know that must hurt more than words can ever express. I pray that God would grant you his peace and that you would feel his presence and love in the midst of your grief.
We have four other children (22, 25, 26 and 29).
Oh, I am so sorry. You have my prayers - may God give you strength.
My own father committed suicide and I know what it does to a family. God keep you and protect you and your love ones.
And may He embrace your daughter and receive her into the Kingdom where all her pain is washed away.
I can’t think of anything worse than the loss of a child, and I am so sorry for you. You are not alone. I have zero doubt that your daughter now has immortality, and I hope you can be comforted in knowing this. My heart goes out to you. Your daughter, your family, and you are in all of our prayers.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. I have a couple of friends who have lost children. One of them never speaks of it and seeks escape with alcohol. The other one speaks openly of it and is able to remember her child with gratitude and peace. She got involved in a support group immediately and said that was her lifeline for a while.
You are not alone. Seek help if the grief and pain become overwhelming.
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
