ABSURD: Parent’s sign asks ‘responsible’ neighbors to only hand out carrot sticks, raisins for Halloween!!
I live way out in the country so don’t have any trick or treaters.
When I was a kid, I wouldn’t have minded getting those little boxes of raisins but would not want raw vegetables.
My cousin has a severe peanut allergy..but his parents look through the candy bag after he goes trick or treating to make sure he can have everything in the bag. They would NEVER demand parents hand out carrots LOL really, would someone eat a carrot from some strangers house
I give out quarters and the kids love it.
Liberals are miserable people and want to suck the fun out of everyone else’s lives, too.
Every year there is always some party-pooper out there.
Our neighborhood has kids on trailers and hay wagons riding around.
They faint if they knew Trick-or-Drinking was a big thing in England. Candy for the kids, booze for the adults. I can honestly say I’ve never been more wasted in my life!
On a cold Halloween, a buddy of mine would offer shots of whiskey to the parents....
Not acceptable unless you are a rabbit family.
I’m sure Peter Rabbit and his sisters would love to trick or treat for carrot sticks.
Alas, I’m a human, give me candy!
Wonder how they would feel about us giving out candy to the kids and an adult beverage to the chaperones. The adults should get a little treat too. :-)
Unless the raisins were in sealed boxes....and in no case carrot sticks, would I allow my kids to eat them...
we quit with the candy and started giving out packets of mwave popcorn. the kids seem to love it and we get favorable comments from the parents
Thank goodness there weren’t any of these types in my neighborhood tonight (least that I know of). My eleven year old got nothing but chocolates and sweet candies in his trick or treats tonight.
I loved the little raisin boxs but carrot sticks probably would go into the homeowners car gas tank.
Most of these food allergies a psycho somatic. Grind up a few peanuts, stick them in an allergic kids food and you won’t see any difference.

Apparently, they’re too stupid to know that raisins are deadly for dogs.
If a parent let me know that their child has allergies I would be sure to have something set aside that he could have. If I had a child with this problem l would go to the neighbors and let them know. After trick or treat I would go through the bag and make sure that all was safe before they got any.
Raisins are full of sugar and high in calories. And they don’t taste good unless they are mixed with something else. Eating carrots will make you look like John Boehner.
So give the kids the candy they want. Send the rabbit food to Michelle.
