Oh boy. Thanks to those among us that have a peanut allergy, everyone else has to have a crappy Halloween. Thatâs what it means to be a sensitive, âresponsibleâ American these days.
Hereâs the sign asking parents to only hand out carrot sticks, raisins and other boring treats:

M&Ms are the best:)
Yup....you hate to turn the little ones away:)
The little creeps who are bussed into our neighborhood is exactly why I started leaving our lights off years ago. We live in a country club neighborhood and everyone started driving their kids in. The front of our house and all the way down the street was full of cars inching along after they let their kids who don’t live here out to trick or treat. Almost every car was full of one of the ethnic minorities. I got so disgusted I turned the lights out and they haven’t been back on since. I noticed most of my neighbors have done the same thing.
sounds delicious
Sounds like you live in my neighborhood.
I looked out a couple of times tonight and didn’t see the usual string of cars all the way down the street. Maybe so many people in here have quit doing Halloween because of them they’ve moved on to better pickings.
Unless the raisins were in sealed boxes....and in no case carrot sticks, would I allow my kids to eat them...
My generation for sure.
LOL
we quit with the candy and started giving out packets of mwave popcorn. the kids seem to love it and we get favorable comments from the parents
Thank goodness there weren’t any of these types in my neighborhood tonight (least that I know of). My eleven year old got nothing but chocolates and sweet candies in his trick or treats tonight.
In our neighborhood we had a house giving out beers to all the parents! Ya HOO!
It’s good to be alive! (Marine corps town—lots of folks answering doors in costume too, always a nice touch.)
I loved the little raisin boxs but carrot sticks probably would go into the homeowners car gas tank.
Most of these food allergies a psycho somatic. Grind up a few peanuts, stick them in an allergic kids food and you won’t see any difference.
If you blew into them, you could sometimes get a little wisp of confectioners sugar that was the "smoke" coming out of the end.
People would have a stroke nowadays!
Somebody’s scamming for some free toilet paper. :-p
I just googled, and you can still buy candy cigarettes off the internet. I may have to stock up for next Halloween, just for the shock value!
LOL. My son has a mild peanut allergy, so I always scored on the Reese’s cups when my wife went through his candy.
Oooo! Necco wafers are good!
