Our FRiend Rodamala's cat, The Purr Monster, is in the Animal Hospital probably til this weekend, with urinary blockage. Poor Purr Monster is also in a great deal of pain.
Please, keep The Purr Monster In your thoughts, maybe if enough people think of him he can come home early and feel better.,
Thanks for the update. Hope everything turns out well for both of you.
He’s a beauty. I’ve always loved tabbies. They are exceptionally smart too
.
Would I be correct in assuming that this is a male cat?
The one and only cure for this blockage is juniper berry tea, administered with an eye-dropper, about 4 droppers full every hour until he opens up.
Then, get him 0ff of the dry kibble, and give him chunks of raw beef instead.
.
What a little sweetie! Glad to hear he’s doing better.
Was your cat re-chargeable?
Prayers up for the sick kitty. Urinary blockage is no fun at all. God Bless.
Awww, hope it all works out.
My Bootie had the crystals form- he was an indoor, pee in a box, fixed male. He was put on Science Diet special food and I bought him a “water bubbler” machine so his water was clean and filtered. He never had a prob with urinary function after...
But, sadly, developed other probs and left me three years ago this past July...still miss him tons!
What a handsome boy! His stripes break up into rounded areas on his back and are very pronounced on the rest of his body. I’m so glad he is doing better and eating.
NiMH was an odd bird, cat wise.
He’d, uh, hold conversation.
And if he slept for five minutes, he was recharged.
Aww.
Welcome!
He is weird with beef... he actually prefers cooked chicken. Roger on diet change... wasn’t the typical adult altered male struvite issue... he’s only 15 months old.
Thank the Lord!
He has this tiny black stripe that goes around one of his front toes that makes it look like he is wearing a ring.
No, but the dog cuts the grass...
Thanks for the update and pics, so glad PB is on the mend and will be home soon. Answered prayers!
omg you are funny
She's now down to 11 lbs. and has been healthy all her life with a one time exception when she somehow got an eye infection.
With that being said, she's always been an INDOOR CAT!
That is wonderful news! He looks very much like my Billy who I lost a few months ago from cancer. Their faces are so much alike, but Billy had a bobtail. Tabby’s are great cats. Good luck to you both.
My boy had the mucus issue too. Vet said stress caused his bladder to shed mucus that then plugged the urethra. I switched to wet food and sprinkle on Cosequin capsule every morning. Apparently an off-label use for it is to coat the bladder & prevent such from happening again. I figure it can’t hurt and maybe will keep arthritis at bay when my boy gets old. I buy them on Amazon.
Glad your little buddy is on the mend
Smile
