But money raised for Obama from white liberals was ok, right?

I don't know anyone supporting Ben Carson who is driven by white guilt. White guilt is a DemocRAT phenomenon.

Ok I’m not going to be popular with this comment, so I’m ready to take the heat, hope your ready for the comment:

Is Carson running as POTUS because he is black or is he running to divide the white/black issues that I thought we had done away with?

Your thoughts?

...making millions flogging a hopeless black candidate to guilt-ridden Republicans...

Any so-called Republican that is donating money to Carson as a result of "guilt", is not a Republican...but they are damned fools.

Show me a poor politician and I will show you a poor politician.

Money is the root of all political progress.

Would Hillary Clinton be in politics were it not for the money?

Her reaction after the Bengahzi hearings looked way to special needs!

She ain’t right.

It’s less white guilt than it is feel-good enthusiasm.
Carson’s success is mostly about single-issue purity.
Choose your single issue:
Constitutionalism
Pro-life
Fiscal discipline
2nd Amendment
Border security
Anti-crony

He is pretty pure on all those, I think — and that draws a large number of people his way.

Purity is one thing; charisma is another — and he just doesn’t have it.

I know he is unelectable because of his beliefs about the Bible. He would either have to run a vicious gauntlet of questions about 7th-Day Adventism’s thoughts on the Apocalypse, their views on Catholicism, the evils of Sunday worship, and the like — OR, deny his faith (that is a non-starter, I would think).

So, the poor guy is just a place-holder at the present time, IMHO; and he is definitely a sweetie. That however, is not enough.

For my money, this time around, it cannot be about purity concerning my pet issue. For me, now, it is about who can, and will most likely, kick liberalism’s teeth in during the general election campaign. It’s now or never; and for me, it’s Donald Trump.

I wondered who was behind the Carson ads that were running over a year ago.

This also sort of explains why Carson thinks so highly of Sharpton.

Both seem familiar with the ole ‘shakedown’ tactics.

To quote Judge Judy: “Follow the money.”

and

2....Explains the Seventh-day Adventist pacifist outlook,

This is 100% correct. John Phillip Sousa IV, the man who will likely make $10 MILLION off Carson's candidacy through his 2016Committee (formerly RunBenRun.com) also made $2.2 million raising money for Joe Arpaio's re-election campaign, while only running 2 ads that cost him $150,000 in a race Arpaio won by double-digits. Sousa is a shyster, but a damn smart one. But Carson was NEVER expected to get this far, and Sousa, Eberle and Co. have won the lottery.

Reads like someone is worried that Ben Carson is making headway in this race. Gotta figure out some way to tear him down in the Republican Primary voters’ eyes.

What’s with cycling this through “Darth News”, when the article is from another site?

Here’s the correct link:

I see now it is actually a reprinted VDare article. Still good and relevant info, but is VDare still banned at FR?

The amounts quoted in this piece are about what Trump can get from searching the seats in his private jet. Carson is getting a free ride on some issues that will drive people away like warmed over amnesty. The media downplays this but when Trump starts pointed it out Ben Carson’s support dries up. No matter what anybody says Trump is on top because he wants to slam the door shut and that is what this whole movement is about.

I don’t think it is white guilt as much as it is Christian conservatives supporting an ostensibly conservative Christian candidate who is also black. We’ve seen a woman who was black (Rice), a general who was black (Powell), a business man who was black (Cain), and now a soft spoken, “Christian” brain surgeon who is black. Eventually we can find the right kind of black person that everyone will support. Our own version of the magic Negro.

The *only* reason that Carson has any support is because of Trump. If Trump was not in the race, Carson would be long gone and Jeb would be in the driver’s seat.
