could be anything- I believe those deer are from india? If so could be a tiger spooking them- They could have just caught wind of the photographer too- Deer are very easily spooked-

It doesn’t take much to ‘spook’ herds, be they cattle or horses or buffalo or deer.
A snake.
A cat prowling near.
A feeling/need to run.
[Ever have an inside cat that decides to play at 3 a.m.?]
It doesn’t take much. Sometimes it is just them being playful. Other time it is the perceived threat of something/someone predatory. Sometimes it is a real threat.
