So why don't I like Donald Trump?
The Briefing Room ^ | October 4, 2015 | andy58-in-nh/Andrew Kone

I'm a Tea Partier. I detest Obama and the Progressive hoard that has Washington, DC and large portions of America in a death grip. So why don't I like Donald Trump?

Honestly, sometimes I wonder what the hell is wrong with me these days. Why can't I get on the bandwagon along with so many others with whom I agree about most everything? ...

So what's the problem with Trump? In a nutshell: judgment, or rather a deficit of it, which in turn ought to make reasonable people otherwise inclined to agree with him to perhaps, think a bit harder about the consequences of their support for him in a precarious and dangerous world ...

Ever notice that some of the most vocal, fist-pounding, in-your-face Trump supporters were also some of the most vitriolic, fact-ignoring birthers?

Not all of ‘em. Just some of ‘em.

Trump has me silently cheering and nervously worrying at the same time. I haz confusionz.

I don’t know what the weird dots are meant to signify in your posts but they aren’t weirder than your words, which avoid answering questions and facing reality in equal measure.

Are you saying the MSM projects a pro-Trump message?

What planet do you live on, Tralfamador?

I don’t really like Donald Trump either but I think he is the only one who can actually accomplish something useful as President. WIll he? I don’t know. Santorum is the only one who doesn’t temporize on immigration and Amnesty but he isn’t going anywhere and I don’t see him as abrasive and brash enough to fight a Democrat Congress.

Excellent points. When have the yammering hyenas of the press EVER hectered and badgered the far and away front runner of the pack about when he will drop out? The prestitutes are as IQ-challenged as they are corrupt.

Try telling that to editor-surveyor.

Oh, it’s a seminal issue and a very critical one....but so is the full fledged implementation of Obama Care (would end the free market economy in effect, damning our economy to European style decline)....so is the unhealthy nexus of business and government - something DT has been a part of...and in fact, is mostly what The Art of the Deal is about....

I think that's a judgment call, and one on which I can accept friendly disagreement.

Fair enough, I agree. Now, here is some of my friendly disagreement, vis a vis the liberal reflexes: A few recent examples: Likes Scottish and Canadian government health care and said it would have worked here just a few years ago. B: Jumped on GWB and EXONERATED every single Democrat in the Fannie/Freddie economic mess....C: on women's health care..."I'm gonna be fabulous for women" - and D: loves Kelo Decision.

In general, he talks about making America great the way a CEO talks about making a single company great. America is not a company. Our President is not a CEO. And using government as a way to make us great is not the answer.

They have done great damage, but Trump would increase it tenfold at least. He’s a major loose canon.

The establishment/career politicians have brought us Obamacare. It is also establishment/career politicians who created the nexus between gov and business. It is a political racket that benefits politicians—and they make the most of it.

It’s understandable that you would rail against what the political class has done to this country; given their destructive bent, it’s a miracle there’s anything left to salvage.

He has already attempted to push his false assertions at me.

Its all BS. The MSM created the candidacy of Trump to derail the chances of a conservative getting elected.

They saw that the masses have swung to ward conservatives, and they are scared.

Trump is their great gasp at deflecting the change.

You didn’t answer MY question to YOU which directly contradicts YOUR assertion about the relationship of the media to Trump.

When you do that, I know you are serious about this conversation.

The total derailment of the conservative wing of the GOP is what Trump is all about.

There won’t be anything left if he is allowed to toy with our primary.

People need to just wake up; they’re not cheering a rock band; they’re cheering the total victory of global socialism.

There is no other way of putting it.

The only conservative to derail is Ted Cruz, and I don’t think he’s complaining that much about Trump’s candidacy.

Your question is hinged in falsehood.

The MSM is totally sustaining Trump.

>> “and I don’t think he’s complaining that much about Trump’s candidacy.” <<

Then you’re just not paying attention.

He has tried several times to voice his concern in various ways without making an assertion that would alienate Trump’s suckers.

He doesn’t want them to stay home, he wants their votes.

your point only makes sense if DT was the only non establishment choice. Since he’s not, I refuse to go down that very narrow and ridiculous alley......sorry, that’s just not our choice. It may come down to that, but we ain’t there now.

BTW, DT has done crony deals with a lot of these establishment politicians...just sayin...
