Lets look at the Kevin thing realistically. So the guy balked. Walter Jones (R-NC) sent around a generic letter to a select few influential House voters saying in effect, Watch It, Guys. Generic meaning he, a seasoned politico, knew to use common nouns, not Proper nouns in grammar speak, to avoid letting the masses in on a secret that allegedly the insiders have known for months. Gasp, here, take a deep breath. Those of you on oxygen, are your tanks engaged? Walter Jones was channeling the Robert Livingston extra marital affair; the Newt Gringrich extra-curricular activities that now are his beloved wife Callista; the notion that, gasp, Republican lawmakers may have sex. When Kevin McCarthy stunned the universe with his I Wont Go There proclamation, he put out in the open the notion that at least, traditional sex may be right. Drudge was up with a link that I just couldnt go with because I could not substantiate the tip.
I called up D.C. and left a message with an Adam, (pertinent) asking is there something going on between Nurse Renee and Leader McCarthy? A sweet sounding, but angry press spokeswoman called me back to assure me nothing was happening; how low can someone go to even suggest that Nurse Renee Ellmers (R-NC) and Speaker McCarthy were, maybe, knowledgeable of each other in the biblical sense. I just couldnt go with the story because I couldnt substantiate it. And Im glad I said nothing. Years ago, an editor, one of many Ive had, said, When in doubt, dont. I took his advice.
Now comes this positively jaw dropping quote. An internet address originating from the Department of Homeland Security was tied to entries made on the Wikipedia pages of North Carolina Representative Renee Ellmers and CA Rep. Kevin McCarthy, alleging...

If he’s resigning as well, I say because of the affair. He want to get out of dodge
I can’t believe that Homeland Security wouldn’t cloak their IP.
Why? It was probably just some liberal bureaucrat working there trying to spite the GOP, not some covert op.
A politician does not fight his entire life, raise money, run for office constantly to get within reach of the 3rd most powerful position in the USA, and then suddenly drop out because people are mean to him, or he doesn’t get along with some colleagues.
He dropped out because a scandal of some kind would have embarrassed him and forced him out anyway.
maybe he found out the first thing Obama will have him do is Close Gitmo
I believe he didn’t have the votes.
“I cant believe that Homeland Security wouldnt cloak their IP.”
A message from the Obama administration to any wavering RINO’s just like the Hastert message earlier this year. I noticed after the Hastert announcement any lip service to ending Obamacare ended, the Planned Parenthood vote went nowhere, and nothing was done through the budget process to rein in Obama.
McCarthy is out because of a female.
Her name is Hillary Clinton.
A political bureaucrat may understandably not know the technical issues leaving “breadcrumbs” behind. “I’ll just post this anonymously on Wiki”, s/he may have thought - not comprehending IP addresses pointing at identity just as validly as latitude/longitude.
Both. He couldn’t keep it in his pants and he wasn’t going to win. Fair enough?
It sounds like a naughty sex issue.
DEVELOPING: Amid affair rumors, Kevin McCarthy and Renee Ellmers expected to resign? http://t.co/WvvWqNjlxz— TwitchyTeam (@TwitchyTeam) October 9, 2015
He is simply out of his league.
I’m just a housewife but I know enough to cloak my IP when need be.
I agree with South that it’s an open threat from the Obummer administration.
Or possibly a spoofed IP from a foreign entity.
Or worse.
High stakes make for serious threats.
I think the real scandal is that government bureaucrats, whether it is homeland security or the secret service or the IRS, are so openly disdainful of Republicans, they don’t even bother to cover up their attacks.
Why is it that the Liberal Left can spot a revolution brewing anywhere else on the planet EXCEPT right in their own backyard? ‘Do not speak of the Revolution’
I think the real scandal is that government bureaucrats, whether it is homeland security or the secret service or the IRS, are so openly disdainful of Republicans, they dont even bother to cover up their attacks.
When have Pubs stood up to the thug treatment of their
lefty counterparts??
If there would’ve been a large-scale pushback from leadership on down, it may have made a difference on what these groups are getting away with. At least put up a strong fight.
But why do they have to be disdainful of Republicans when very few Republicans are conservative, especially Elmers and McCarthy.
