OAN/GRAVIS have published an exclusive poll based entirely on the results from last night’s CNN debate (full pdf below). The poll shows the majority of those questioned viewed Carly Fiorina won the debate and reflects a predictable surge:

According to this result, both Fiorina and Rubio gained status and favorable opinion amid those Republicans polled.

Really? I didn’t know that. Mark Levin made some comment on today’s show about Marco, but I missed it. He said something that he and Marco don’t talk any more.

I follow a lot of people on twitter. TheBlaze OFTEN sends a tweet out at just the same time Megyn Kelly comes on and talks about the same anti-Trump story she discusses on her show. Isn’t that interesting?

This is a poll of debate watchers. Not the same thing as the public at large. Possibly it exaggerates the impact. But, with the buzz, there can be some momentum to Forina’s and Rubio’s advantage.

There’s a long way to go. All we are seeing is a little demonstration. The air war has not yet begun. And who will have boots in the ground?

I think it was one POLL.

(At the risk of being tarred and feathered: does anyone think it’s in any way a Good Idea to even think about electing a female Prez, when our most immediate and dangerous enemies are Islamists?)

OAN is One America News which many freepers are now watching instead of Fox. GRAVIS? I am not able to intelligently tell you much about that. Regardless, there definitely is a plan the GOPe has to promote Rubio and Fiorina and that is a good thing to know.

In 2012 Trump said Romney was too tough on the illegal immigration issue. Romney had proposed perhaps the cheapest, easiest way to reduce and ultimately eliminate all the illegals coming in was to use eVerify and make sure they couldn't get jobs. The employer would be heavily penalized for hiring anyone who couldn't pass eVerify. The result was they'd (the illegals) would self deport all by themselves. Here is what Trump said:

"He had a crazy policy of self-deportation, which was maniacal," Trump told Newsmax. "It sounded as bad as it was, and he lost all of the Latino vote." Trump added that the GOP should develop better policies "with respect to people wanting to be wonderful, productive citizens of this country."

Note the last part where Trump said we should develop policies "with respect to the people wanting to be wonderful, productive citizens of this country". And NOW he has entirely reversed himself and wants to physically deport people when just a couple years ago even self deportation was a terrible idea? And why exactly do you believe Trump now considering all of his flip flips and policy reversals?

No, sorry, this is well beyond just some people caring deeply about a particular issue and supporting a candidate that caters to it. Trump has no history of being a conservative, is not grounded in conservative thought and isn't even consistent on this very issue you (and so many others) claim is the main reason they support Trump. This has veered into cult of personality territory. When Trump contradicts himself or "evolves" all is forgiving, when other candidates do it they are GOPe slugs. This is misplaced celebrity worship for a populist protectionist with many policies that would make a progressive like Bernie Sanders smile in agreement.

The first 3 polls this morning had Trump in the 60s and Carly in second place at 12.

Those would be unscientific online polls such as Drudge, Time and Newsmax. If you believe those polls then Ron Paul should be President right now.

This poll claims to have some basis in science though it is only of those who watched the debate and, while better, does not really tell us how real scientific polling will shake out within the next day(s).

I should think Trump will still have a large lead, but whoever got good buzz after the 2nd debate will probably earn themselves a few point bump. I think Carson had a pretty bland/bad debate, so my hunch is he loses support and it probably goes to Fiorina.

I think the important question now is which candidates(s) drop out next. A couple that have gained no traction and have no path to the nomination. Folks like Graham, Pataki, etc, will probably have to throw in the towel soon enough.

I have very little interest in celebrity status of anyone. I have more interest in what they do and will do. As for who is conservative and who has flip flopped, there are many so called conservatives who fit that bill. Do you remember all the conservatives lost in 2012 because THEY RAN OUT OF MONEY. It is as simple as that. We need to get rid of the corruption first. If we vote anyone but Trump we lose and that is the point. They can overwhelm us with money.

“...amnesty loving Rubio would make a great team.”

Hannity interviewed Rubio today. Rubio re-affirmed his support for amnesty.

It is a pile-on. For some, Trump must go down. Wishful thinking.

All the other candidates are pro-amnesty. As Mark Levin said tonight, immigration has been designed to destroy the republic. Trump stands in the way.

I’ve worked in NYC. Like i’ve said a number of times the BEST you can do is act moderate in interviews and when beginning a job. After you’re safe, you can show conservative colors.

Trump is no different. I think he held back alot of conservative views for business sake.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he just decided “i’m 69, the country is falling apart, and I have enough money at this point”

So let me make sure I completely understand this new position by Trump supporters. For generations conservatives have fought so called “Campaign Finance Reform” that Democrats have pushed because it would limit business from influencing elections and therefore benefit Democrats who are not business friendly (right here on this forum people tore McCain apart for supporting this very thing). And now Trumpsters WANT business campaign contributions out of politics and would prefer a billionaire with as many flip flops and sketchy position history as any other candidate in the race?

How about Mike Bloomberg? He’s rich and could self finance a race and not be beholden to anyone? There are many very rich leftist billionaires who could do the same. Is this really the future you want?

And since when did we not want a conservative candidate to be at least somewhat beholden to business interests, lobbies like the NRA, pro life organizations, etc?

The conservatives lost in 2012 because they were bad candidates. Period. Perry imploded and the rest just weren’t very good. This field is notably better.

Trump most certainly won’t get my vote in the primaries, I much prefer Cruz and a couple others. Saying that, if Trump did win the nomination he would certainly get my vote in the general election. I’d have to hold my nose, but there is no way I am whining, crying and sitting out because my preferred candidate didn’t win the nomination.
