As Ben flops, Carly picks up his voters and the GOP-e gets excited about her breaking 15%

“Sorry Doctor Carson, but this is just not working; NEXT!”

Last night’s debate showed that Doctor Carson will have to sit down because the Wile E. Coyotes at the Republican National Committee now have a new hound to try to hunt down Donald Trump. The GOPe is swooning over the fact that “Carly Fiorina held her own!”

Only in the Beltway could such an observation be made with a straight face.

In each of the polls available at this writing, at least 55% of respondents say Trump won and Fiorina is “right behind him” with about 16% of the votes.

So where is Doctor Ben Carson now? When many people, myself included, made fun of his Beltway supporters some of them were quick to use an NPR poll from New Hampshire saying “Carson has pulled even with Trump,” as proof their man was on the move. Of course the headline was written in Democrat-speak which holds that if their candidate is even at the edge of the Margin of Error, he is even; but that means little to the NRC. Carson is not “even” with Trump. He’s not even close to even and never was.

Carson was at times painful to listen to as he spoke in a halting pace that impressed just 5 percent of those who voted on Drudge’s poll. Since the Drudge Report has become a gathering place for...

“Carly standing up against Planned Parenthood and speaking passionately about the baby kept alive to be butchered for better organs was a highlight”

It’s not like she’s the only one taking that position. Ted Cruz also made similar statements in last nights debate. Why does she get all the publicity?

I see you like Cruz. I do too, except he's weak when it comes to how to handle border security and illegal immigration. Hopefully he'll get stronger on that.

As for Trump, he doesn't do ideology. He's all over the lot, and changes in the wink of an eye. He's an entrepreneur, he sees situations and reacts. He's a fixer, and he learns on the fly. He doesn't set up rigid plans and stick to them no matter the circumstance. For this kind of person, what is important is their instinctual decision making when faced with a problem or situation. Unlike career politicians, he's isn't bought, paid for and controlled. Is that workable is this job? Hard to say.

Don’t worry, I have friends who were working at Hewlett-Packard back when Carly showed up and ran it into the iceberg. I’ve known about her negatives for a very long time.

And of course she had already worked her ‘magic’ on Lucent before H-P inexplicably hired her.

She was fired as an adviser, as well.

FLASHBACK:

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/09/16/fiorinas-comment-called-biden-like/

Asked by a St. Louis radio station whether she thought Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin could run a company like Hewlett-Packard, Fiorina responded: “No, I don’t.

“But that’s not what she’s running for. Running a corporation is a different set of things.”

Asked about that remark on MSNBC, she made the same unprompted assessment of the GOP presidential nominee. “I don’t think John McCain could run a major corporation.”

She also said she did not believe Democrats Barack Obama or Joe Biden had the right business background either.

But with the economy center stage in the campaign, the words that gave Democrats easy fodder to attack the Republican ticket.

A top McCain official contacted by CNN said, on condition on anonymity, “No big deal, but not how you get on the surrogate all-star team. Very Biden-like.”

“This campaign source said Fiorina would be discouraged from additional media interviews.

Another top campaign adviser was far less diplomatic.

“Carly will now disappear,” this source said. “Senator McCain was furious.”

Asked to define “disappear,” this source said, adding that she would be off TV for a while – but remain at the Republican National Committee and keep her role as head of the party’s joint fundraising committee with the McCain campaign.

I think it all works to Trump’s benefit. Even as supporter of his, I do think he should’ve done a bit more homework prior to the debate and he better doing that start sooner rather than later. His “schtick” will get old and stale if not leavened with some details at some point.

But for now, all he needs to do is keep Jeb in single digits, and preferably the rest of the candidates rotating in and out of the #2 spot. No other candidate other than Jeb will ultimately challenge him for the nomination unless they very quickly coalesce all non-Trump support around themselves. So if it’s Carson last week, Fiorina this week, and Rubio/Kasich/[insert other GOPe candidate here] after that, all that means is more weeks wherein the anti-Trump forces fail to coalesce around a candidate.

And ultimately Trump has the “trump card” in a one-on-one matchup against all of them because the (vast?) majority of Republicans are begging for someone to stop the illegal invasion and he’s the only one credibly promising to do so.

“I’d vote for any other candidate but would stay home if he won the nomination.”

And that’s why we are cursed (again!) with Obama instead of Romney. Romney was my last choice, but he was still better than the spawn of satan.

Which Marxist Demoncrat do you want this time, Hillary or Sanders? Do you really think Trump would be worse?

[I don’t know if Cruz is electable.]

The way it looks now, TRUMP is knocking off the competition one by one and the only ones left will be TRUMP and CRUZ.

If Fiorina, Heb, Rubio or Kasich is the nominee, I stay home.

If Dr. Carson on is elected the Washington bunch will devour him!!

And Sharpton and his BlackLivesMatter crowd will become very vocal against him, because the last thing they want is a black leader who doesn't play the "we're all victims" game.

At the end of those videos, Boxer.
Almost like throwing up a little bit in your mouth.
Living in Silicon Valley I have many friends who worked at HP over the years.
She really did change the culture of the company.
Those I know are unanimous in “it was not a positive” change.

I watched on the internet, it had a headline of Round 2. It should have had a headline of “Whack The Donald” because he was CNN’s pinata for the evening. They gave everyone the stick, some declined to take a whack, some gleefully took multiple whacks with little to no success. The Trumpster still stands tall, without even a loose seam.

“Anyone that spends the briefest time researching her actual record and public statements BEFORE running will find a leftist.”

I looked at her positions while running in the general election in California in 2010. If someone was going to run to the left, that would be the time. In that election, her views were NOT leftist.

“Trump is a jerk who simply does not respect other people. I’d vote for any other candidate but would stay home if he won the nomination. I’m sure there are other Republican voters who feel the same way.”

I agree with your first statement. I disagree with your second statement and hope to God you are wrong about your third statement.

The only thing worse than a President Trump would be a Presdent Hlllary or a President Sanders

Yea all her public statements running counter to her positions were figments of the American imagination.

Outsourcing never happened.

On the issues, Romney was a ‘severe conservative’. Except he wasn’t. At some point people need to stop reading prepped statements and looking at a candidate’s actual actions.

Or not. your call.

Carly Fiorina articulate as she may be is not going to best Donald Trump in a mano a mano fight for the nomination. Just not going to happen.

“Fiorina was relegated to the kids table, but was given an affirmative action promotion to the adult table”

Really. She didn’t deserve to be there last night. She knows it. Still, she looked smug, entitled, and pissy. She should’ve had the decency to at least show a little humility given the fact she knew she was there only because she’s a female. I hate affirmative action.

To watch later.

My husband hit me this morning that I was a Rino like iCarly because I voted for McCain (really I voted for Palin). Ouch that hurt.

Fio-RINO is the new designated loser for the GOPe.

Hillary will recycle the Boxer ads that destroyed Carly in California and give the GOPe- the loss they crave:
