George Will: Trump Supporters Need To Come Into The Republican Party On Our Terms, Not Theirs
by sundance The Pontificating Arrogance of The GOPeIn a very clear and deliberate delivery of how the GOPe establishment view those who do not want to accept Jeb Bush in the White House, the republican party elitist and BFF of Charles Krauthammer, George Will, outlines the acceptable parameters for Donald Trump supporters -those unwashed, unintelligent masses- to be good little Republicans.
Money quote (ie. Sunlight upon how the GOPe feel about you) at 04:33:
VIDEO
These are voters the Republicans want, the Republicans want all voters, and particularly these voters, but to say that he’s tapped into something;… {shaking head} … Henry Wallace tapped into something, with the far left of American Politics in the late 40’s; the John Birch society tapped into something, George Wallace tapped into something, and it was up to the grown-ups in the labor movement in the late 1940’s, and the grown-ups in the conservative movement in the 1960’s to read those elements the riot act, and say: come back in, but come back in on our terms because we are not going down the road you want to go”…
Notice – As George Will begins to opine with the visible display of his superiority, and fully present his disgust toward the base of the party, he glances toward Laura Ingraham – because Will is judging how far he can go displaying his inherent disdain of the insufferable “crazies”, “hobbits” and “whacko birds”.
Will is checking for Ingraham’s eye roll. (screen grab)

Its always been on ‘their terms’ and its always been their losers. When they do win its because of us yet they trash us and belittle us. We’ve had about enough of being their doormats and chumps— no more Georgie boy— no more.

Mr. Trump is more conservative than the
Obama-fawning, Obama-protecting undocumented Democrat
named George Will.

So the one insane asylum inmate hanging on the fence continued,
“Three wheel nuts will hold the wheel on if you drive slow, until you get into town. Then you can buy some more at a garage.”
The motorist wiped his hands clean and said, “Hey, thanks guys! You know, for lunatics you guys are pretty sharp.”
And the first guy, who saw him scatter the hubcap full of nuts into the weeds just as the light failed, replied,
“Buddy, we may be crazy but we’re not stupid.”

Let’s see.
We gave the Republicans the House and they reneged on their promises.
Then we gave them the senate and they reneged on their promises.
Now they want the presidency and they will assuredly reneg on their promises.
They will do nothing about illegal immigration, nothing about defunding Obamacare or Planned Parenthood, nothing about Obama’s illegal amnesty, nothing about the economy, nothing about TPA,TPP, and nothing about blocking the Iran deal.
And for that we need to come into the Republican party on their terms.
They have so screwed us that it does not matter whom we vote for Trump or another dwarf. They have created this mess because of their actions.
And while we are on the subject of Hillary it turns out that one of Hillary’s biggest contributors is Foxnews. So knowing this we are supposed to come to Megyn’s rescue because she in essence is shilling for Hillary by way of Rupert Murdoch.
Yep! These are real convincing arguments for coming back to the Republicans.

These people running the Republican party really are stupid.

Ok I get it. According to George Will, the Trump supporters are all in the categories of Henry Wallace useful idiots, John Bircher right-wing extremists, democrat George Wallace racists and so on.

I think George Will will soon find out (since it seems he has not been paying attention to the polls so far) that the majority of Republicans are the ones who are tired of the establishment types.. and the establishment types are going to have to learn to adjust their attitudes and positions or find they are on their way out...
To: GilGil
They fear the Trumpster since he’s like kryptonite to them.
So therefore we will apply heavy doses of the Trumpster for their viewing displeasure. Throw in a little Cruz for the coupe-de-gras and let them squirm from overexposure. We’re pro-choice aborting these feckless elitists in the GOPe without taxpayer funds.

I would like to remind Mr. Will of a few basic truths. In doing so, I will quote the Gipper, circa 1976, if it is not too bold.
I don 't know about you, but I am impatient with those Republicans who after the last election rushed into print saying, "We must broaden the base of our party" -- when what they meant was to fuzz up and blur even more the differences between ourselves and our opponents.
{snip}
Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?
{snip}
It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way.
The problem, Mr. Will, as it was in 1976, is this:
Once sworn into office, the victors reverted to type. In their view, apparently, the ends justified the means.
It is by and large republicans who are supporting Mr. Trump. It is the people of the party. The terms, dear sir, are not made in Washington. They are made at the dinner tables of millions of working Americans who make up this Grand Old Party. The fact that this is lost on you is indicative of the problem in Washington. It is the same reason Sen Cruz is gaining such momentum.
The American people, and especially republicans, are hungry for a leader, not a follower. They dream in bold colors, and are served plate after plate of pastels from D.C. Sen Cruz just days ago was eviscerated by the Washington elite for daring to speak the truth, and call a party leader on their deceit. If that kind of betrayal of the people, first to lie and then to defend the right to lie and not be called a liar, if that is evidence of your 'terms' then we need no more of that. We have had quite enough, thank you.
Your tone demands a follower, another marionette of K Street. We, we the people, seek a leader, a bold leader. I am a republican. I will support whom I choose, whether they fit the Washington cream and crumpet mold or not. I will speak out for the rebel from Texas, the rogue from Alaska, and even the brash wheeler-dealer from NY if I so choose. Do not propose to speak on my behalf any further. Your terms, dear sir, are declined.

Trump is doing a great service to conservatism right now by destroying the GOP. What makes this even funnier is that it’s quite possible Trump isn’t even a genuine conservative. GOPe hacks such as George Will are about to find themselves unemployed; let’s hope they starve quickly.
