DC Whispers, July 11, 2015
Just a few weeks earlier, GOP 2016 candidate Jeb Bush was sitting atop nearly every Republican presidential poll as he used his family name, media contacts, and a still formidable and long-standing Bush dynasty fundraising machine to place himself as the prospective favorite among a growing list of White House hopefuls.
Then Donald Trump arrived, and now, Jeb Bush is quietly but urgently telling those around him that something must be done to diminish the sudden popularity of the New York billionaire.

Initially during Mr. Trumps rise in the polls, the Bush team was dismissive, declaring it a momentary blip. As days turned to weeks though, and Trump supporters appear to be multiplying at a pace that even has people associated with the Trump campaign surprised, the Bush 2016 operation is now openly declaring it wants help with the what is being called, The Trump problem.
The call for help has even been issued to Jeb Bushs seeming Democratic rival Team Clinton. Apparently, Bush operatives believe that between the two political dynasties and their many supporters among the Mainstream Media and corporate business world, "the Trump threat" can be quickly terminated before it grows into a legitimate challenge to the seemingly pre-determined Bush vs Clinton 2016 showdown.
A D.C. Whispers source put it this way:
Its said that Hillary Clinton wants nothing to do with Donald Trump. To most, they just call him a clown, but privately theyre afraid of him. The Clinton team doesnt fear Jeb Bush because they know what they are up against and that lack of fear is mutual among the Bush operation as well. They both run in similar circles politically and financially, so its a choice of shades of the same color and thats how they want to keep it.
Apparently Jeb Bushs focus on The Donald has become quite personal. Bush is said to be deeply disappointed that the media and corporate attacks on Mr. Trump have only made the outspoken billionaires appeal to voters that much stronger. It is a political dynamic for which Bush political operatives are increasingly confused and concerned over.
Those concerns were said to be given some salve in the form of assurances from Bill Clinton during a personal call he had with Jeb Bush two days earlier.
While most of that conversation remains private, Jeb did share with others that the former president reminded the would-be presidential hopeful that, a lot of this Trump thing will be taken care of during your debates, if not sooner.

As for Donald Trump, he recently held a news conference in Los Angeles with some who have lost family members to crimes committed by those who entered the United States illegally.
Several of those at the conference declared to the media that Mr. Trump was, the only politician listening to us. The Mainstream Media has largely refused to report on the event.

Mr. Trump is later scheduled to appear at a legal immigration rally in Phoenix, Arizona later today that is estimated to have nearly 10,000 supporters attend. Several far-left open border groups have initiated nationwide anti-Trump protests with money that is alleged to having been funneled to them by political donors from BOTH the Clinton and Bush camps.

In the interview with Don Lemon of CNN, Trump said he made up his mind (about running for Pres.) long before WJC called him. He also said the call wasn’t about him running or not running for Pres.
LOL...
Really? And you believe this?
Probably wondering if he’d give the foundation money or something *smirk*.
I’ve met ELS. Very sharp FR member.
Ok, but how does he know WHAT they talked about on the phone?
Do you?
You seem to ‘know’ that Bill encouraged him to run or something.
?
And you believe Bill Clinton?!
Huh? Why is this about me? Do your own research on the questions you are asking.
What did I ask you again? Sorry.
LOL. Go hijack some other thread, Rove-Troll
Please...stop.
Is this why the debate season was shortened by the RNC by nearly six months?
In ‘12, the debates began in MARCH. And there were a lot more of ‘em.
Trump may just be Rove’s worst nightmare. In 2004, Rove’s worst nightmare was a bipartisan ticket with McCain and Kerry (you read that right. That was in the works for a hot minute in May of 2004, and when McCain/Kerry outpolled Bush Cheney (both non veterans) by 15 points.
Trump running as GOP is nearly as much of a strategic nightmare as the potential McCain/Kerry ticket was for Rove, because Trump can pick up tons of disillusioned Democrat votes.
“Trump running as GOP is nearly as much of a strategic nightmare as the potential McCain/Kerry ticket was for Rove, because Trump can pick up tons of disillusioned Democrat votes.”
You’ve got that right. Most of the important primaries are ‘open’. The RNC has used that, in the past, to ensure conservatives didn’t stand a chance (McDaniel/Cochran race in MS is a blatant example of this). Those same open primaries might be their worst nightmare in a primary if Trump is still around come election season.
I’d invest in heartburn meds. I suspect the chattering classes and uniparty beltway minions are having plenty of digestive upset just now.
You shall know them by their enemies.
Remember how George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton reached out to each other after the 2004 tsunami in Asia? Of course it was all for charity and helping the poor afflicted victims of the disaster. sarc.
I personally believe it was a deal between the two families like Hillary was supposed to be the next candidate in 2008 and then JEB was supposed to be the Republican candidate in 2016. I think maybe Bush Sr. urged McCain to run in 2008 to lose to Hillary but things didn’t turn out as planned.
Sometimes conspiracy theorist take it too far but it is also unrealistic to say “I don’t believe in conspiracy theories.” The world is a conspiratorial place and has always been especially near the seat of power.
I wonder if anyone has found a horses head in their bed?
Did Columba really shoplift?
Trump speaks forcefully about getting more American jobs, many Democrats who have been hurt by “fair” trade, illegal immigration and high taxes on businesses will vote for Trump. Trump is a populist kind of guy and many Democrats appreciate that. I bet that there are already many conversations going on in taverns and diners about Trump. He has created excitement like the kind of excitement when the home team wins. It spills over and everyone wants to talk about it. There are many cities and small towns with closed up factories and few jobs. People are hungry for someone who will talk about them and their plight and they have not had someone like that in many years.
