Something is coming. I don’t know what. But we must be ready. Here’s the key question: Is America heading towards a terrible implosion or a great awakening?

I feel a tremendous sense of urgency about this column.

The United States is hurtling towards severe trouble, and the events of the past few months — and what may be coming over the next few months — grieves me a great deal.

Something is coming. I don’t know what. But we all must be ready in every possible way.

Consider where we are in the summer of 2015:

•Violence is exploding in our cities, schools and churches. The horrific mass murder inside the church in Charleston would be bad enough if it wasn’t just one of innumerable mass killings that have become epidemic in America.

•Racism is tearing us apart, and it appears things are getting worse, not better.

•The Supreme Court is poised to rule any day now on the definition and future of marriage — and if the Court rules against Biblical marriage I believe this could cause the Lord’s hand to turn against our country in a severe and profound way according to the moral laws found in Romans chapter one.

•Abortions are occurring at more than one million in year and have put America on the fast track to judgment. Since 1973, Americans have murdered 57 million children through abortions. The blood of 57 million babies is crying out for justice, and they will get it in God’s sovereign timing. Could that be soon?

•If all this wasn’t bad enough, marriages and families are imploding all around us. Poverty is growing. Drug and alcohol use is epidemic. And that’s just here at home.

•Abroad, Iran is closing in on The Bomb.

The list sounds like exactly where we were in the Summer of 1967.

I recall an Art Bell show about this “feeling”, and how it will manifest itself on the interwebs. So somebody came up with an algorithm to monitor it somehow. It showed spikes BEFORE 9-11, the stock market crash, etc. Mass Consciousness or something. There might be something to it.

Rabbi Cahn has been a voice of measured logic compiled with intellect and honesty. His humility site such that he conveys the dire hour in stark terms, but offers hope in Yehoshua. I heard him preach that if we have sins, get them out, and if we need forgiveness and mercy and healing, get those in

The Great Depression, if it happened in today's America, would end the Republic in chaos, starvation, disease, and mass murdering for stored food anywhere the city dwellers could get to. All it takes is stopping the delivery trucks and time to batten down the hatches. Someone, somewhere has it all planned out and will start the collapse in their choosing, IF God does not Rapture His Church first.

I say IF because of what would happen in America if tens of millions of alive people suddenly disappeared from operating the machinery of everyday living, and all the children below a certain age suddenly disappeared. That too would end the Republic.

I’m seeing a lot of people going through the motions of life. They have been doing it for a few years now. Even the people who don’t pay much attention to politics or obungo know something is going on but they don’t know what.

Without a vision the people perish. It is often misused but it is appropriate.

We have not hit bottom yet but I think it is coming soon. obungo is becoming more violent and outlandish at an ever increasing rate.

When the ‘crash’ happens, it weill be a total collapse, so whether your mortgage is apid or not is not even a concern. Invest in people. Invest in food and help for others. And if you need them, buy a few tools to defend you and the family when the lights go out and the water stops and the groceries are wastelands.

Trends are pretty easy to track these days - for example see Google Flu Trends. All kinds of data is being collected and provides insight into national trends that were never before easy to ferret out in almost real time.

For instance, if there were a zombie outbreak, the search terms would show up pretty quick and actually be hard to obscure statistically - sort of like spotting photoshopped pictures.

I understand, but I would rather have my house free and clear so when SHTF at least I won’t have some rapacious lender claiming my house is theirs. If I put the money in the market and the market tanks, I won’t have anything.

More and more people are voicing the country is heading in the wrong direction. We feel powerless to do anything about it. We have taxation, regulation and no representation. Numbers of us felt some relief after the Nov, 2014 election feeling at least now Congress would "Stop Obama." That did not happen and in fact they have acceded to every one of his demands. He has become a soft tyrant with more and more brazenness every day. A thousand or so people in the beltway are steering down the socialist/communist path.

Art Bell and other used to talk about 'the quickening.' Feels like things are rushing to and end point of some sort. Can we influence the outcome? Is it time to water the tree of liberty? How do we organize?

Pray for America and prepare. .

I always assumed America would be on God's side in that showdown. Now I know better, and that makes more sense since God doesn't need American power to win. We all know which side Obama will choose, but I hope most of the American people will choose God's side.

Any read of either OT or NT prophecy and you do not see the U.S. mentioned.

Either the rapture has occurred and has removed millions of Christians and we're no longer a functioning nation, or

We've truly fallen away as a country and had rejected God and we're part of Satan's camp against God.

They’re rioting in Africa. They’re starving in Spain. There’s hurricanes in Florida and Texas needs rain.

The whole world is festering with unhappy souls. The French hate the Germans. The Germans hate the Poles.

Italians hate Yugoslavs. South Africans hate the Dutch and I don’t like anybody very much!

But we can be tranquil and thankful and proud for man’s been endowed with a mushroom shaped cloud.

And we know for certain that some lovely day someone will set the spark off and we will all be blown away.

They’re rioting in Africa. There’s strife in Iran. What nature doesn’t do to us, will be done by our fellow man!

I kinda wondered about all of that as well. Very similar pattern to the late 60s.

One of my neighbors was a cop and sent to DC during that “special time”. He got hit in the face with what he thinks was half a brick. It knocked him out.

My wife had a health scare this spring which we are finally coming out of. But this has gotten me to understand that our situation could change pretty quickly. Without a job, it could be touch and go with my making our monthly payments. So one of my thoughts is to bring down debt as much as we can, instead of buying the conventional wisdom that so long as you can service your debt, you should just invest your extra money in the markets.
