Something is coming. I dont know what. But we must be ready. Heres the key question: Is America heading towards a terrible implosion or a great awakening?
I feel a tremendous sense of urgency about this column.
The United States is hurtling towards severe trouble, and the events of the past few months and what may be coming over the next few months grieves me a great deal.
Something is coming. I dont know what. But we all must be ready in every possible way.
Consider where we are in the summer of 2015:
Violence is exploding in our cities, schools and churches. The horrific mass murder inside the church in Charleston would be bad enough if it wasnt just one of innumerable mass killings that have become epidemic in America.
Racism is tearing us apart, and it appears things are getting worse, not better.
The Supreme Court is poised to rule any day now on the definition and future of marriage and if the Court rules against Biblical marriage I believe this could cause the Lords hand to turn against our country in a severe and profound way according to the moral laws found in Romans chapter one.
Abortions are occurring at more than one million in year and have put America on the fast track to judgment. Since 1973, Americans have murdered 57 million children through abortions. The blood of 57 million babies is crying out for justice, and they will get it in Gods sovereign timing. Could that be soon?
If all this wasnt bad enough, marriages and families are imploding all around us. Poverty is growing. Drug and alcohol use is epidemic. And thats just here at home.
Abroad, Iran is closing in on The Bomb.

I could have a pickup bed full of Kruggerands; but what could I BUY with them?
Krogers will be EMPTY.
The Amish ARE going to 'win' after all!
My apolgies. It will be 14% larger in area and 30% brighter. However, since the numbers are of significance, I must point out that the actual numbers are 14.2409874% larger in area and 30.3659817% increase in brightness, for a "moon effectiveness factor" of 22.30348455%.
Jonah was angry at the Lord for sparing Ninevah, because he told them they were done for and when God relented, Jonah felt his "reputation" was ruined.
I would rejoice if God relented upon His anger and judgement at America.
However, we should also reflect that after Ninevah repented, they went right back to their old ways, and God wiped them out.
If there is a 11.0 earthquake, or an asteroid hits off the coast, it is much more important to worry about your Credit Score.
Very good, and Amen!
1 Peter 5:8 tells us Satan is not yet in Hades, but roaming the earth. In Job, we learn that Satan has access to God in the realm of Heaven.
He will be cast down to earth during the Tribulation, with great fury, because he will know his time is short. Then, he will be chained and thrown into the bottomless pit, for 1,000 years, and then will be set free again for a short time.
“...foxes...”
Interesting post about the American Indian belief that sighting a fox portends change.
I have sighted 3 foxes wtihin the last 3 months. Two were alive and well and one road kill. I live in the upper mid Hudson river valley where there are fox, but they are very shy and the two I saw in broad daylight (near woods) were unusual. They were red fox.
I am over 50 and have never seen so many fox around - maybe 2 or 3 prior to that for my whole life.
I am not ready to say that it was a portent, but I did find it interesting.
You found my wallyworld foto from last winter!
Oops!
Mine was from the other direction...
I work up here in the Cypress area. I’ve never seen so many smash and grabs, bank robberies, store robberies in my life.
Don’t leave home without it.
That is NOT why Jonah was angry.
Wait for the middle of September. I believe that is when things will really start to get interesting.
I'm also in Harris County. Things are starting to pick up steam....
4 Jonah began by going a days journey into the city, proclaiming, Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown. 5 The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth. 6 When Jonahs warning reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust. 7 This is the proclamation he issued in Nineveh: By the decree of the king and his nobles: Do not let people or animals, herds or flocks, taste anything; do not let them eat or drink. 8 But let people and animals be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up their evil ways and their violence. 9 Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish. 10 When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.
4 But to Jonah this seemed very wrong, and he became angry. 2 He prayed to the Lord, Isnt this what I said, Lord, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. 3 Now, Lord, take away my life, for it is better for me to die than to live. 4 But the Lord replied, Is it right for you to be angry?
Jonah 3:4-10 and 4:1-4
I believe part of Jonah's anger at God was because he went out there, proclaimed they would all be destroyed, and then it didn't come to pass. He was very angry that God would not destroy the city, and that he had said they had. He felt like he was made to be a fool.
Agree.
I see similarities between the War of Gog/Magog (Ezekiel 38-39) and the prayer of Psalm 83. Thus it would place it before the rapture.
No--the reason Jonah was angry was that God chose to spare Ninevah--a mortal enemy of Judah at the time.
It would be like one of us going to Iran and proclaiming God's wrath on them and they repenting and being spared, rather than the destruction we hope would befall them.
Jonah hated Ninevah, and he hated having to go there, and he REALLY hated that God spared them.
It wasn't on the list - but it sure will serve to amplify it in the days to come
Alright guyz...I got y’alls back if ya got mine. lol.
September....I happen to agree with you. First, end of the Shemitah year and if history repeats, most major market corrections happen every seven years from late Aug to late Oct.
Was in a discussion of this topic last night at dinner. It looks a lot like the annihilation of the blood-lusting attackers of Israel and accompanying devastation is what ushers the man of sin onto the global scene as Peacemaker bringing surviving mid-East islamics and Israel to a peace agreement which allows Israel to declare ‘peace and safety for seven years’. According to the prophecy offered in 1217 AD (a German Rabbi of great devotion, Rabbi Judah ben Samuel, was given a vision from Elijah regarding the city of Jerusalem) the year 2017 is the year the seven year treaty will be signed. Interesting stuff to consider, in light of 2 Thess 2 as properly interpreted using ‘departure’ for ‘apostasia’ ...
They can do hundreds. Eventually, it will be the depression, but they’ll take and evict as many as they can.
