For all you FReepers in Blue or Purple states who think there is a chance your state could turn Red in 2016, check out RED NATION RISING at the link below:

Pretty sure the answer to your question is “graft”. If it’s not that it’s “stupidity”.
Maybe the color red could be seen as a color in regards to the “tree of liberty” which needs from time to time to be fed with the blood of freedom fightters.
Exactly...the reason I encourage people to move out of Red Hampshire and Red England at every opportunity.
Well, I ask you again: How did Susana Martinez get elected Governor and then get reelected?
Soviet Red Hampshire has two Congress critters...one a solid democrat district where the crazed abortion supporter Anne Kuster holds power (she soundly defeated a decent conservative candidate last time around, Marilinda Garcia), wheras the other district flips from democrat (in a presidential season) to RINO (in the off-year election).
Michigan ain’t perfect but its certainly a great place to fight with ample hunting and fishing between elections.
I’ve been in the upper peninsula; no argument from me.
You're kidding, right? Pack up and move to another state for political reasons only?????
Sheesh!
Any moving I do will be here within Michigan.
I'm under 40. I was a kid in the 1980s. "Red" was ALWAYS associated with Communism prior to 2000. Other tyrannical regimes like NAZI regime were remembered for their red logos in the history books.
>> Id join a movement called Kiss a White Mans Ass if it would help bring defeat to the Obamaites, Clintonites, Sodomites and baby killers. <<
I find it amusing that on the confederate flag threads, a bunch of posters get all huffy and insist "we WON'T let the media define symbols for us!! Just because the media says the stars and bars represent racism, we REFUSE to go along with it!! TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY!!" Then threads like this come around, the media wants to tar the conservative moment as "red" so we get lumped in with communists and NAZIs, and a bunch of "Tea Party Patriots" happily embrace it and LOVE being called "red". Not me. You want to wave the confederate flag and claim it represents "states rights" despite what the media says, you need to stop waving the "red" logo and claiming it represents the GOP because the media gave you marching orders in 2000 that it does. You can't have it both ways.
I think many Republican leaders are in collusion with the Democrats at the highest levels of government. They all feed and benefit from the same political feedlot. It may explain why so many of us shake our heads when we see the leaders of the party capitulate so many times to the left on every issue. I could be way off base here, but when I listen and see the establishment in the media they don’t have the same amount of frustration and anger so many of us here at the grassroots level have at the left. They’re always looking for some kind of consensus and bipartisanship regardless of the fact that it’s always conservatives who are forced to give in to liberal policies and politicians. It just makes me suspicious of our leadership.
I live in NH, a purple state. A few years ago the Libertarians decided to turn NH into their utopia with the Free State Project. Well it’s pretty blue now. We voted in a governor, a senator, and a congresswoman, all Democrat. Seems they promised a pot store for all.
It’s been an epic fail for freedom.
and yet others on here have said the same and done the same as us.
exactly.
We got out of socialist New England and have never looked back.
I encourage anyone who is conservative to do the same.
Well good for them, I'm sure their move for political voting purposes only helped swing their new state vote over to the good side.......
Just curious, how many thousands of others here made that move that made the difference in their new state's voting outcome?
Yeah Kart, I agree. No one believes me when I say that Steve has been turned to the dark side... or at least has become an establishment hack.
It was a great disappointment when he did.. I used to REALLY like him as a person and as a Representative.
When I was younger the media used blue for the Republicans and red for the Democrats. One year I was watching the election returns and realized they had switched the colors. I guess they knew they had to hide the fact that Dems are really Red Communists and needed to deflect the truth.
The same way Obama won New Mexico in 2008 with 56.91% in 2008 and 52.99% in 2012. New Mexico politics is something you have to exprecince firsthand. I have been here 10 years now and I still don’t believe what I see. It’s living proof that people will believe what they are told not what they see with their own eyes.
I don’t want to turn my state Commie Red.
NH has two congresspeople. One each Rep and Dem.
