Republican senator Ted Cruz said Wednesday afternoon he is long-term optimistic and short-term pessimistic on the question of passing any immigration reform legislation. Speaking with Javier Palomarez, the president of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Texan presidential candidate said he considers himself a proponent of immigration reform. But, Cruz added, political leaders should focus on those aspects that have bipartisan support.

Piss off wanker
Your hatchet job don’t hunt.
Reported the original post for a misleading title and freeperbias.
Seems your allegiance to America is to.
At this time in our history, we do not need anymore foreign nationals, or immigrants. We need a 10 year moratorium on ALL immigration.
What you or your little company want is inconsequential to everything except maybe a bit of profit. Too bad. Train Americans who live here if you want employees who'll work for low wages.
We don't need to import more people to help your stinking bottom line.
What’s the name of your company?
Yeah right, I don’t think so...
No matter what I’m worth, you won’t want to pay it anyway. You’ve already said that you’d hire an Indian over an American. I think that’s all I need to know. By the way, a-hole managers tend to have a hard time attracting and retaining people. Sound familiar? It should.
I'm looking for a candidate who isn't promising to let the Chamber of Commerce and Third World serfs take bread from my family's table. H-1B is not a philosophical matter for me.
I agree.
So you can’t reveal the wage or salary for these tech jobs this company is unable to fill.
In fact now say you’re unable to even reveal the name of this corporation or company.
Okay...Are these high clearance type of positions?
What if someone here was interested in the job?
I’m in the hi-tech industry and this H1B stuff is BS. So I guess what they’re not shipping off to India they’re going to bring people here to do? BS! F’in CoC.
I’m working as a contractor in the hi-tech world and I agree 110%.
Just sent this month's contribution to Ted Cruz.org
I almost forgot to send it until I saw the posts here -Thanks for the reminder Walker and GOPe trolls :)
This isn’t McDonald’s there is no “wage”. It doesn’t work that way anywhere. And no, I have an anonymous creep asking me where I live and what company I am at on a public board. Might as well just post my address and when I am on vacation.
You sound like a clueless underbidding lowballing HR loser.
We're going to vote for Americans, or we're going to vote for bringing in replacements from foreign countries.
Who in the world actually thinks that Americans are too stupid to be trained for a job? Many of them already are trained, but are intentionally being overlooked, or worse are being forced to train their less qualified foreign replacements.
Cruz will only hurt himself with pro-America conservatives if he doesn't back off of this. If he slides, then measure from this moment.
No
Whew! ;)
his is a lie - Ive been in IT for 15 years. And am watching plenty of qualified pros across all kinds of IT disciplines be replaced by H1Bs simply because they are cheaper.
Not only that - the qualified pros are being forced to train their unqualified replacements.
Many scads of documentation around the H1B fraud. The goal of this program is to replace american IT jobs with imported and offshored resources that work for about 40% of what Americans demand for these jobs. Pay attn. to Senator Sessions:

I truly doubt that the IT workers coming from India have all the skills many of the posted jobs require...but once hired by a US company, they pretty much belong to the company...
Not so with US IT professionals who can move to better paying jobs. One of my kids, an IT professional, changed jobs—doubled salary by doing so. Can change jobs again if opportunity presents, but I don’t think H-1B visa holders can. Also stated that salaries for certain positions and levels are tamped down due to H-1B Visa holders.
With all due respect, your post deals with Senator Cruz’s illegal immigration reforms...and most here support the reforms you listed:
From OnTheIssues.com: Ted Cruz’s stance on immigration:
End Obama’s illegal amnesty via Congress’ checks & balances. (Nov 2014)
Defund amnesty; and refuse any nominees until rescinded. (Nov 2014)
No path to citizenship for 1.65 million illegals in Texas. (Oct 2012)
Give police more power to ask about immigration status. (Jun 2012)
Boots on the ground, plus a wall. (Apr 2012)
Triple the size of the Border Patrol. (Mar 2012)
Strengthen border security and increase enforcement. (Jul 2011)
I believe concerns center around legal immigration and his stance on vastly expanding the number of H1-B Visas.
As one person said, Cruz position seems to be closing the border and opening the airport... It is the opening the airport part that concerns some of us.
