So after the perp tazes you and thereby takes your gun to use it against you or others, how will you be able to post b.s. on comment threads anymore?

There’s no publicized testimony or evidence showing that Scott tried to get the pistol.

There’s no attempt to use deadly force without a firearm or other deadly instrument in the hand. Tasers aren’t considered deadly.

Wrong. They are only considered to be less lethal than a firearm. Where do you get this stuff? TV?

Who said he did? You don’t have to wait around to find out if the perp succeeds in incapacitating you or not. You have an imperative duty to prevent it posthaste, genius.

lol A reasonable person would not believe that a persons visible and empty hands possessed a weapon. A reasonable person would not believe that a person running away from them with empty hands was an imminent threat.

Those of us who believe that the citizens of this country make the rules are tired of the policies and training which result in people dead without a trial.

Make up your mind. First you claimed it didn’t matter what Slager believed, then you say the case hinges on it(it does). Graham v. Connor, genius

LMAO yet not one officer included it in their report?

While they did report that slager had “deployed” his taser?

I’d like to see more “evidence” than a funny pic on a blog.

I guess you haven’t seen the video of Slager being debriefed with his pants leg up to his knee. You DID see the upshot of the struggle over the taser, didn’t you? Sort of went viral on the internets.

I am sure you would have posted the video if that were true?

It’s not a funny pic on a blog. You may think you are funny but you aren’t either.

It’s clear on the video. Like I just said. But people of lower intelligence are immune to evidence, so carry on.

Look at the freaking video. He has a taser lead embedded in his torso and another either wrapped around his leg or in his leg.

Well that's what the guy writing the blog is saying. Nobody else is saying that. But you seem to believe it so let me make sure I have this straight. After shooting the taser at Scott, Slager halts, ejects the spent cartridge, pops in the new cartridge, has the taser taken from him by Scott who then shoots Slager so that one dart goes into his upper torso and one dart into his calf - about four feet apart. Does that pretty much sum it up?

The attack of the officer is shown on the video and lasted for over two minutes.

Link/source? Otherwise, you are spreading disinformation...again.

Scott ran quite a few steps, before Slager shot him in the back. Scott was pretty flabby, too. If Scott took Slager’s taser, why did Slager let him have it? Was Slager not trained to deal with a taser attack? Why was Slager rolling on the ground with a runner? Where was Slager’s partner or backup?

Slager’s buddies acted immediately to prosecute him after incident. What’s up with that? Did they do so for the purpose of avoiding riots?

The edge is attained with training, not more un-American laws and policies. What’s going to happen, when a larger part of the middle class is laid off and starts rioting because of the debt problem? This trend of bad public affairs decisions and bad publicity are going to make that more of a problem.

Meant say fuzzy....dont have a cow......and you cant see his leg....for all I know he skinned his knee...

I'm smart enough to read the damn reports and see clear discrepancies.

There is a whole lot of supposition going on in this thread....and it isnt on my part. If he was tasered...why isnt that mentioned in any of the incident reports? Why would it be a secret?

Speculation about whether Slager got taxed aside, what 101stAirborneVet said in his earlier comment about the moment of decision to shoot, and the psychological kinesis or inertia that involves, will probably sum up this case. At :17-18, Slager is justified in deciding to draw and fire. The only charges he should face should have to do with the fact that he looks to have failed to suddenly reverse himself in the chaos of change, and instead followed through on his decision. Whether that amounts to guilt on any charge is in question, given the science of decision making and action under extreme stress.

I’m serious, which video do you mean? If you haven’t seen the first one, I would not be surprised, but everyone has seen the one in which the upshot of the struggle over the taser is the very first thing you see at :17, when the two men first come into frame. Get a clue.
