On the first day we saw the North Charleston, South Carolina, shooting video of Walter Scott by Officer Michael Slager we were as shocked as everyone. However, as research now indicates there is much more to the story.
What we cover here in the latest update might just change the entire way the story continues

You seem convinced otherwise, but there’s no need to be there. You can choose not to trust your lying eyes, but everything needed to meet the probable cause statement is right there in that video. If you choose to ignore it, there’s yer’ problem. You can bet the Prosecution won’t ignore it and the defense will have it’s hands full trying to make it go away.
Now there’s no predicting what the jury will decide — even O.J. pulled off a miracle...
You really should click the link. Lots of info there that answers all your questions.
Even allowing for the BS speculation that Slager was able to reload his tazer, according to this blog it had been fired again into the officer. So even if the suspect had the tazer he had no way to reload it and no way to be a threat. So no, there was no justification for shooting a fleeing, unarmed suspect in the back.
So Scott resists arrests, grabs the cop's taser, and taser's him, then runs, gets shot by the assaulted cop, and you think that's first degree murder? Sorry.
If it’s SOP to get control of loose weapons rather than to preserve the scene (which makes sense if the scene isn’t secured), and if a spent taser can be considered a weapon, then his action seems justified.
So where are all the FReepers who were convicting him from the video? Those of us who wanted innocence before guilt were called every name in the book.
I put you in the latter grouping.
That’s what I was thinking- there was somebody else in the perp’s Mercedes... could have been coming up right behind him and the officer, he HAD to retrieve the taser gun
And how would he ‘plant’ the taser by the disabled perp with the other (black) responding cop already arrived at the scene, next to the perp...?
So if i have this right..
Scott got the cops taser..
Scott shot the cop with his own taser then turned and ran
Then the cop shot Scott.
The taser darts can be seen in the cops chest and leg in the video
So would explain what the cop picked up after the shooting ..(not planting something as some have suggested)...
And why the cop is standing around with a rolled up pant leg (just odd..so reason?..the taser dart)
And all this matches the cops story
Second, there are circumstances where cops can shoot a fleeing suspect in the back if they feel the suspect poses significant deadly risk to the public.
...
Risk of “serious physical injury” is the standard set by the courts. It doesn’t have to be deadly.

The left has a lot of us spooked... apparently
Personally I didn’t see anything lodged in the cop’s chest or leg. What I saw are some stop-motion and slow-motion videos (I guess that’s the ‘enhanced’ stuff, huh?) with some arrows and something dragging along behind the victim.
So. We have new revelations of enhanced this and that and claims of complete exoneration coming and a lot of speculation about reasons, whys and wherefores of events leading up to the death of the victim. What I did see and really didn’t see here slo-moed or stop-moed the EIGHT times this cop fired at the back of a running subject with nothing in his hands.
To me this revelation is nothing. Still murder.
If Slager had chosen to pursue and subdue, Scott would likely be alive. I doubt Scott’s life had any value, in your eyes.
He said "I'll withold judgement until the investigation is complete."
Wise words.
This stuff is all diversionist obfuscation. Eight shots at the back of a running-away perp with nothing in his hands. Eight shots, reportedly five hits.
I did not notice if the officer disconnected the taser wires from his chest and leg first.
The shooting stance I saw for the eight shots wasn’t from a man in any way debilitated by a fresh taser sting.
But I'm amazed at the numbers of people on this forum (and other conservatives) who are ready to throw Slager to the wolves before examining all the evidence and circumstances.
The facts are the suspect did not surrender peacefully. He engaged in a struggle with the cop, took his weapon, and looks like tasered him. It's certainly not a case where the cop just walked up to the guy and shot him. White or black (and they're making this a national case because of color), if I assault a cop, I shouldn't be surprised if I get shot.
“With bystanders around maybe its better to leave ones taser or whatever else laying everywhere. I still say without assessing the analysis presented you become increasingly annoying’
That is your lame ass excuse???
BTW...I have checked out your source....it even has an incident report that not only makes no mention of Slager being tasered...it also contians some outright lies....
If you read the report..Officer Ganns asserts that he assisted in administering CPR and continued to do so until EMS arrived....and we know that is a flat out lie based on photo evidence.
In this photo at your source , your sources claims this is proof that officer administered CPR....But you can clearly see that scott is still laying FACE DOWN.....
Since when is CPR administered face down???
The report also cleary states “officer slager deployed his taser”
So what you are trying to sell here is flat out BS.
